Only two more weeks left of school!!

I am soooo excited that this semester is going to be over soon! I got my paper back that I did for my Pathophysiology and I have strong hope now that I will pass this class! I will know better on Friday when I get the results of the test I took today. I thought only having 3 chapters to study that I would be able to know the study guide and chapters. She always as a way to find stuff that I didn't see in the book or on the notes! I am anxious to see how I did and hopefully I did fairly okay and then I can feel more optimistic about passing! :-)

Back to work

I had a nice first night back at work. I like it when it happens that way! I was able to do my assessments and chart them at the same time! Love it when that happens that way! It gives me more time later to be able to go through the charts later and update things in the computer for report. I dislike it when someone tells me in report that a patient is difficult. I had one patient that I was told that last night and after talking and meeting with her, I thought she was a cutie pie! :-)

Vacation is over . . . . . . . .

I am sad that my vacation is over. I am actually at the Mudhouse doing some studying before returning to work. I am trying to prepare myself for my test on Tuesday in Pathophysiology. I also need to figure out what my case study is all about!!! I hope to start on that on Tuesday and was actually hoping to do that before so I could ask the teacher questions if needed. I hope that once I decide what diagnosis my patient has, it is correct! I am a nurse not a doctor!!!

The weather is actually nice today, it has been quite rainy this week! I am looking forward to Friday night for the art walk and then it is art fest weekend. Plus it is also national scrapbooking day! Lots of fun activities this weekend! I am glad I don't have too much studying to do but I do have all those papers and stuff to get done! I plan to enjoy myself next weekend. I might need to make a goal go getting some of this stuff done before the weekend. Will be hard since I have to work during the week.

I had fun at the crop last night and was able to get my stuff almost done for Jammie Crop for the swap. I plan to stitch my name on them and I need to add journaling. With it being a 6x6 LO, I don't have much room for journaling! I am unsure what to do about that. I posted a layout I did get done last night for a picture swap. We weren't told the story behind the photo and so I didn't really know what to do with the photo! I did add a little saying to it.

I had better pack up and get to work! Sure hope it is an easy night! :-)

Last day of vacation . . . . . .

Ohh, I am not ready for my vacation to be over. I really only have to come back this week and then I will off for 8 days again because of school stuff. Then I work for another week and then I will be off to go to Jammie Crop!!! I do have a week off in June for my birthday. I also took a week in August so I can attend CKC in Tulsa! I don't know what I am going to do from my June vacation till August as I haven't worked that long of stretch since January! I love all these mini vacations I am able to take!

I finally went to bed last night around 0430 and I layed down with all my cats. Chloe curled up on my pillow with me and I fell asleep and woke up this morning with my alarm and the light still on! I never did take my glasses off either! WOW!!!! I think that was the first time on my vacation that I slept that good! I am ready to go cropping with my sister today! :-) I need to go print some pictures out. I am going to try to figure out my Jammiecrop layout and work on a picture swap and 2 CJ's! I have lots to do! I am excited about my Prima flowers! The pic is what I found from scraphappykt!!!

I should be sleeping . . . .

The whole two weeks I have been on vacation, I have not slept at night. I will go to bed around 4am and wake up around noon. Except on Tuesdays, I think I would go to bed early since I had to force myself out of bed early to be at class by noon but it never did happen! I guess since I have to return to work on Sunday, I might as well not get into a normal schedule! :-)

My all time favorite artist is Macy Gray!!!! I have loved her stuff ever since she made her first album! I was super excited when I got to see her at a FREE concert in St. Louis on the riverfront!!! I got to be near the front row and I got some awesome pics!!!! At that time I still had my 2.1MP camera and every time I zoomed in, it was super blurry! She threw bottled water out in the audience and I caught the first one!!! I still have the bottle! It was well worth the lose of sleep to see her perform!!! Other music that I do enjoy is alternative music. I can't get enough of my favorite radio station Q102! I also enjoy 80's music as I was growing up when they were popular!

Something else I did while on vacation was attend two more classes taught by Elsie Flannigan! I wanted to post my layouts on my blog. I really like the one I did of Felix as a kitten with the stars! I would have to say that one is my favorite! She is teaching a 4 hours class in June and I my schdule for work was posted and I don't work Friday night so I could possibly attend depending what time the class is! I hope that I can go! She was talking about a mini book for that class.

Instead of studying like I was planning to do earlier, I have been doing some cleaning. I like it when my house is clean and I haven't had the extra time this semester to keep up with it like I normally would! I think I need to find my flash drive with my school stuff on it and get started! Since putting things on my flash drive, I tend to forget it at home when I go to the Mudhouse to study! I have done that the last two times I have went to the Mudhouse to go study!

I am a happy girl . . . . .

for several reasons but the thing that is making me happy right now is I have my laptop back!!!!! Another thing I am happy about? They didn't have to restore the hard-drive!! All my stuff I thought I had lost is still there!!! WOOHOO!!!!! I just hope that my computer doesn't do this anymore or I won't be a happy girl. I do have some stuff to transfer that I added to my old laptop while my new one was getting fixed. I am also happy to have my Napster music back without having to ask them to reinstate my songs!

The last week of my vacation has been fun and relaxing. I have been taking time to relax - maybe a little bit to much - about school. I haven't done any of my papers or presentation or my case study. I have felt like I needed the break but I actually need to do some work with my pathophysiology as I have a test next Tuesday and I want to do good!!!! On Wednesday, I had my dreaded check off for my complete head to toe assessment and I did good!!! I was impressed with myself! Our teacher let us look at our paper which I didn't have to till I got to the neuro part and then it was over! It has been a good school week I believe. I only have 3 more weeks left of school and I am excited to be able to have some time off!

I had fun with my nieces yesterday and the weather was good!!! I was hoping to get pictures of us in various parts of downtown and my camera battery went dead before I could take any good pics! We will have to do this again sometime! I am learning that my new camera sucks up the battery power pretty fast! I have been using rechargeable batteries and have found some that will charge 4 at a time instead of two so you can have extra on hand. Good thing to have for a vacation! I need to invest in that soon! It is rainy and cooler again today and according to weather.com it is going to rain till Monday.

I am also happy about going scrapbooking at a crop tomorrow with my sister! This will be my second crop to attend but actually my first at a scrapbook store! I am going to work on getting my Jammiecrop layout done that we are going to trade and make an album out of! I have some ideas but not really sure what to do yet. I need to work on uploading new pics I have taken onto my laptop and maybe print some tonight!

I rented movies earlier in the week thinking I would be able to watch them all. I returned 2 of the 4 back on time . . . . I was going to return the other two tonight but I watched one last night and I am not going to get the other watched before midnight. I am sure they like people like me!!! I actually use netflix.com for this reason but was wanting movies to watch at that moment and wouldn't have gotten any till the end of the week. I believe I will watch the last movie and work on my study questions for my test.

I am also happy about a guy that I have meet through a personal ad I have. We finally meet up with each other this week and I enjoyed his company - and he said he enjoyed mine. He is handsome, has a nice sense of humor and I find he is easy to talk to. I was real nervous about meeting him but that feeling went away after sitting and talking for awhile. I really hope that we get together again someday soon! :-)

My laptop is fixed!!

I am soo excited!!!! I don't have it in my possesion yet. I called Best Buy on Wednesday to find out if they could tell me the status of my laptop and they told me they had received it and was doing diagnostic testing to make sure it is working! Yeah!!!! I was beginning to wonder as I hadn't heard from them so I called them today and it was ready late last night so I am going to pick it up later today! WOOHOO!!!!!!!! I just hope that this is the end of the laptop troubles! More about my week later, maybe from my newer laptop!! :-)

Can't sleep . . . .

I have been trying to post my previous post "Stormy day" for quite some time and it won't post. When I view it in edit post it appears it has posted but it hasn't. Maybe it will later? This may not post! We will see . . . . . .

I can't sleep and it is driving me crazy! I just want to sleep at night! I have been on vacation from work for a week now and haven't been able to sleep at night yet. I have to much to do to sleep during the day today! Maybe that will get me back on track . . . . . . we will see!

Blogger challenge on 2 peas today is "How are you different compare from 10 years ago?"

10 years ago was a long time ago when I think back. In 1996, I was in LPN school and now I am in BSN school. I am still in school so that hasn't changed! I did take a 3 1/2 year break from my RN to BSN. I was living at home in 1996 and I own my own home now. I feel like I have more responsibilites and I am more independent. I am able to travel to more exciting places such as foreign countries. My fun pack then was driving to Tulsa, OK! My travels now normally require an airplane. I worked night shift 10 years ago and I currently work night shift now. I did work 3-11 for 4 1/2 years before going back to night shift. Hmmm . . . . . I am sure there is more but that is all that can come to my mind currently.

I have been frustrated with my compaq laptop (the older one) today. Certain things just hasn't worked right since I got it back from the touchpad mouse being repaired. I had a talk with Circuit City today regarding some of the issues and I have two options. Option #1 is to have them do a diagnostic and have it for two days to see what the problem is. This is covered under my service plan. Option #2 is to do a system restore and only be out for one day. I have a feeling that the system restore is my best bet as I keep getting error messages and it freezes up on me. I am to bring my CD's in today as when we were talking about it he seems to think that I might be using the wrong CD so I would rather restore it right the first time! That means I am loading all my programs again. I am going to be a pro at this! My main reason for doing this is I can't get my flash drive, wireless card, web cam, wireless mouse to be recognized by just installing the software. I have to go to the control panel and find the device with a yellow question mark and then click find drivers and it might work. It has worked with everything but my jumpdrive with the info I need! I got the idea today to install quicken to my desktop to see if it would work there even though it is super slow and runs Windows 98 but I had the same problem with my jumpdrive being recognized. The things that make you go hmmmmm . . . . . . .

I need to get up in 4 hours so I better go try this sleep thing again. Hopefully it works this time!

Stormy day

I woke up today with it thundering and now it is boring down rain. I have unplugged my laptop - just in case. I have had enough computer problems lately and don't need more. I was going to finish up the yard work today but I guess I will do that another day now!

Yesterday, I was chatting with my friends on Yahoo! Messenger and they all had webcams. I had to go to Wal-mart and get me one too! I don't know what else I can do with it but it is fun watching people as you chat with them! I was trying to look on the internet on how to use a webcam but I kept getting unwholesome things so I guess I will have to figure this stuff out by myself!

I learned how to make these really cute accordian books at the crop I went to and I finally made one this morning since I couldn't sleep but it has no pics. I am going to have to upload pictures and order prints since I am unable to do anything like that till I get my computer back. I hope to get my computer back sometime this week.

My parents have went out of town today and won't return till Thursday night. I am picking my nieces up from school all week and so I am hoping to have some fun quality time with them! I am hoping that the weather is nice tomorrow and take them downtown and walk around various spots and take pictures! Well, just talked to my sister and I pick up one of my nieces at one time and the other a little over an hour later. So we will have to plan that another day this week. I have decided that Shilo and I will go to Barnes & Noble till Jasmine is done at school! There school is on the opposite side of town and that way I can also save on gas! :-)

Fun scrappy night!!

I really enjoyed the crop at my sister's church! I really didn't get that much accomplished but I did learn some new interesting things! I did all the make-n-takes that they did. One of them was the most adorable accordian album!!! Actually she didn't have enough paper left for me to make one too but she showed me how! I can't wait till I can create one! Since I try to be a techno chic (when my computer is working!!), I went to a digital scrapbooking demonstration! Ohhhh, so exciting all the digital stuff! The girl had brought her laptop with all her digi files and showed us how to put a page together with Photoshop Elements 4.0! I don't have Photoshop Elements yet but I hope to very soon! I am going to save up some money and get me a Wacom pen tablet that comes with PSE 3.0 plus it also has other programs with it too. I currently use Microsoft Digital Image 2006 put feel like I can't do all the cool stuff that PSE has. She took time to type up and made copies of instructions on how to start a digital scrapbooking page from PSE. Can't wait till I can use them!!!

My sister was laughing at me cause I brought most of my supplies with me and then I didn't even scrapbook that much! I brought quite a few scrapjammie kits to work on and never got to them! I was mainly working on an album kit that was with papers from SEI "Granny's Kitchen". I just love that paper! I can't wait till I can add pictures to my album! I think I am going to upload my pics to snapfish.com since I am unable to print pictures till I get my computer back! For some reason, my all-in-one printer wouldn't load properly on my old laptop. I find that strange because before I got my newer laptop, it was on my old laptop. The old laptop had to be sent off for repairs and restored so it had to have happened since being restored.

After the crop, I went to Barnes & Noble and hung out a little. I read some magazines and I have really fallen in love with "Everyday with Rachael Ray". I found a lot of receipes that I would like! Cooking is something that I haven't had time for with school. I will eat cereal or make something quick on my george foreman grill. I am going to make me something good to eat!

I got home and had a box on my front porch and it was my prima flowers!!!!!!!! I am sooo excited to have them! I have 24 6x6 LO to do for the jammie crop I am going to in May in Chicago. We are all making a LO about ourselves and then trading them with each other to put in an album! I really want to participate in that! That is only 4 weeks away!

I had a really good day today and glad to have a day away from homework! I hung out with a friend at the Mudhouse, ended up seeing another friend I hadn't seen in awhile when I was at the Mudhouse. Then got to scrapbook with my sister! She told me today that we are going to have to get together at my house or hers to scrapbook together! I am excited that she enjoys doing this to and we can scrapbook together! Maybe I can get her to go to a crop at a LSS - which I have never done that before but I think I might be ready to try! :-) I should go to bed so I can get up early and work on my "Things to do list!".

There is still hope . . . . . . . .

of me passing Pathophysiology. I got my test score today and it was about the same as my others so I have hope that I might still pass this class now. I was thinking I had totally flunked the test. The class average was 81%. I am excited that she posted the review questions for the next test and made it only 3 chapters so maybe I can do better on the next test and boost my odds of passing this class!!!! She still hasn't graded my research paper and that will tell me more about my status in this class. I will have to start on the questions this weekend and then memorize all the notes! I hope there won't be any surprise's on the next test. I really don't want to take this class again!

It has been a week since I turned my laptop in to Best Buy for more repairs. I really really hope that I get a call next week regarding the status of my laptop. I really miss it! My old laptop seems to be to getto now after having a sleek, light weight laptop with wireless built in! I just hope that they figure out the true problem. I have a 1GB flash drive now so I can start saving my school stuff on so I don't have a heart attack if this happens again! :-)

Anyway, today is FUN FACT FRIDAY for the 2peas challenge.

My fun fact would have to be about my cats - they are ever soo cute!!! I was born a cat lover and excited when I finally talked my parents into getting a cat when I was 16. I didn't need a car, just a cat!! :-) About 5 years later I got allergy tested and have a severe allergy to cats! I currently have 3 cats and just live with the allergies. I am too much of a cat lover to get rid of my babies. My allergy doctor has told me that I would be a new women if I was to get rid of my cats but he realizes that isn't going to happen!

My cats personalities are soo different. Chloe is sassy and doesn't like to be bothered unless she decides she wants to be bothered! Felix wants my love all the time and follows me around the house. He will meow his little head off if we are separated by a door or if I go outside, he meows at the window. He is a mama's boy! Pandora is pretty and she is a gets scared easily. Pandora and Felix are best buds most of the time and will sleep together. If Chloe is around, Pandora is afraid to walk by her as Chloe will smack and hiss when she walks by her! The Pandora and Felix will have there paws up ready to smack when Chloe walks by just in case! I am sure that doesn't help with Chloe from stopping smacking and hissing at them! They are all cute in there own way!

I am excited that my sister and I are going to a crop tonight at her church! I have never been to a crop before and I am excited about going. I actually need to go home and start packing for my adventure tonight. I have all these scrapjammie kits and I have some bo bunny mini books to put together! I need to make sure that I have enough adhesive, I might have to make run to Hobby Lobby! I need to get home to start preparing for a fun night of scrapping!!!

Where did that come from?!?!?!

I am doing my best to pass Pathophysiology so I don't have to take this class again. This class is the one class that would make me drop out if I had to take it again! The test Tuesday morning wasn't all from our review questions as the teacher told us it was going to be. I took my notes and actually wrote the questions next to all the answers and highlighted them so I emphasized that area to study - as she told us to do. I get the test and I was sitting there like an idiot! The multiple choice was the hardest! I was able to get the short answer pretty good, I think . . . . . . I am nervous to see what I made on this test. After the test we were all talking and everyone else had the same feelings. I was glad that I wasn't the only one feeling this way! I was real nervous on the last test and I did better than I thought. I hope that I do alright even though I don't think I did. We have another test in two weeks and she didn't give us any review questions for it. She will probably give them next week and only give us a week to get it done . . . . . . . . majorly frustrates me . . . . . . . . . . .

I took all my frustrations to Hobby Lobby and ended up getting me a couple of scrapbook kits that were on sale!! One is of Aunt Gertie papers and the other is with grandma's kitchen! I can't wait to put the together! I also went to Barnes & Noble for a little bit and bought me a book "Angel Cats: Divine Messengers of Comfort". I will be excited to start reading that. I might have to start reading a little bit before going to bed. I was soo exhausted since I stayed up most of the night that I actually got home at 1830 and fell asleep till midnight! I am still tired but felt the need to blog . . . . . . . . I am looking forward to my cats and I curling up together!

I have been on vacation since Sunday and tomorrow will be the first day that I will be able to enjoy without having to cram for a test! I do have studying to do for homework that is due but I can handle that! I am also thinking about gathering notes to start writing my papers and presentation for my Health assessment class. I do believe I need to have some fun tomorrow! Unsure yet what that will be but I will think of something!

Dream vacation!

My dream vacation is to travel the world!!!! I most interested in traveling in the South Pacific! After reading peoples travel blogs, I have wanted to do the same! I actually have started a travel blog of my own but haven't published it yet. I would love to visit India, Laos, Malaysia, fiji islands, australia. I love watching the travel channel when I get a chance and seeing the different adventures that everyone goes on! One of my favorite things to do is travel and I don't get to do it very often. Last big vacation I went on was to Cancun, Mexico which was almost three years ago!

My laptop that I had back for only 3 weeks died on me again last Thursday! This time I never could get it to turn back on so I lost all my pathophysiology review questions for a test I have tomorrow! Best Buy told me that they might consider my computer a lemon and give me a new one. The service center has to decide this and it might be 2-3 weeks before I get it back! I have 2 papers, a presentation and a case study due and need my computer back! I have my old laptop out but it freezes up and keeps giving me a virtual memory is low message. I hope it isn't getting ready to do something stupid!

I also had my cell phone problems and had to get a new cell phone. Whenever someone called me or I called them everybody sounded sooo far away! I couldn't hear anybody! It cracked me up when I went to the store and the guy was trying to make a phone call from my phone to test it and he looked at me and said "You can't hear anything". :-) I wasn't eligible for an upgrade yet but they did an exceptional upgrade since my phone wasn't working. I have been working on bluetoothing my pictures over to my new phone. I got me insurance on my phone this time as if this is to happen again, I would get a new phone without any problem!!

I actually missed out on Easter yesterday! We were getting together at my grandma's house around 2pm and I had gotten off work at 0700 that morning but I set my alarm to get up early. I slept through my alarm and woke up at 1745!!! I was tired! I got up and started mowing my lawn. My lawn mower ran out of gas when I was very close to being done. I refilled it and never could get it to restart! I thought I might had flooded it so I chilled on my hammock for about 10 minutes and then tried and it still wouldn't start! It was going to be getting dark soon so I put it up and will have to tackle that another day! I went back into the house and was going to take a shower and fell asleep instead and woke up at 0800 this morning! I can't beleive I had slept that long! I should be ready to study for my test tomorrow! I need to soak all that up!

I do have class with Elsie tonight! I haven't figured out which pictures I am taking yet. I need to figure that out!! My sister is coming with me to this one tonight and I can't wait! I need to study hard till I have to meet up with my sister tonight. We are going to have dinner and then go to the class. I am excited about us getting to take this class together! :-)

Happy Birthday Sharla!!!

Happy Birthday to you Sharla! Today is my sisters birthday and we are all going to get together at our parents house. I have to be at work by 1830 and my sister a church activity tonight around that time. I wanted the night off from work so we could relax with my family but it didn't work out that way! I am so stressed from school that I find it hard to relax anymore! I can't wait for my sister and I to scrap with Elsie on Monday! I need to get my homework and supplies gathered for that!

The palm tree cake here was Jasmine's birthday cake and my sister made it! I just love it! The other picture is a group picture I had them all do so she can have a picture of all the people at her birthday slumber party! That was a challenge with little girls but we finally got it done!

OOOOOHHHH!!!!! The UPS man is in front of my house!!! It was just my energy drinks I like. I was hoping it was the scrapbooking stuff I ordered last week. The mailman hasn't made his appearance yet so there is still a chance it might come!!!

Last night I was working soooo hard on getting my neuro assessment writen up and really needed to be studying for my Patho test next week. I got all my Health assessment homework and the neuro write up done and then after that taking me all night, learned it was due till next Wednesday! ARGH!!! At least it is done, happy about that but I could have used that time to finish my patho review questions. I thought I would be able to relax some after the test next week but realized that I have 2 papers to write for my health assessment class plus get together a presentation on one of those papers. I also have a case study to do for patho but I won't receive that till 4/25. All of these are due the same day so I hope that I can spit out a couple of papers next week! I am glad that I am on vacation from work for two weeks starting Sunday as I will need it to get all this done! :-) I am off to work on my patho questions a little and then to go party with my sister a little! I hope work isn't crazy busy tonight! :-)

Crazy kitty cats!

After I got out of school today I went to the "Three Dog Bakery" to see if they had treats for cats. They had a few and I also got them a little "cake" treat for them. They told me that dogs love it and she wasn't for sure if cats would but I thought I would try. I get home and cut a little sliver off and Felix was the first to arrive! I put it in his dish and he sniffed it, licked it, looked at me and then put his paw in his dish and pushed it out!!!! He didn't like it! The cat that will eat anything didn't like it! Pandora did the paw thing in the dish too and Chloe just sniffed it and walked away. So it wasn't a big hit! If I get to go to Easter at my Grandma's, her little dog buffy might get a treat! I did get my cat's "kitty kavier" and they loved it! It is fish flakes and that was the winner!

I never got my cats bathed like I had planned over the weekend. I will have to conquer that task on my vacation! I am currently at the Mudhouse needing to get some studying done. I actually have homework to email tonight to one of my instructors.

I am also going to order Prima flowers tonight from the internet!! WOOHOO!!!! I can't wait! I had better get my Health Assessment homework done then I will order me some flowers then finish my Pathophysiology review questions. Sounds like a plan!

We normally celebrate Easter at my Grandma's. She is having an Easter get together at her house around noon or 1pm depending if my Aunt Marie is driving down. I get off from work at 0700 on Easter and unsure that I will go. If the time gets changed to later in the afternoon, I might go. My sister always goes to church that day and I am always invited to go with her. One year on Easter, a friend invited me to go to her church and I enjoyed it. I also have some major studying to do that day for a test! I need to email my Grandma and make sure the time hasn't changed since I was last told.

I went to bed last night at 0200 and woke up at 1500!!!!! I couldn't believe it! I could have slept the rest of the day too! I hate days that I am that tired! I got up and went to the Mudhouse and worked on my summer and fall schedule and emailed my advisor. I ended up dropping a couple of classes in the fall and only taking one in the summer. I am going to check into doing corresponce courses and get two of my prereq's done that way. I will get done with my BSN!! I am getting closer and closer! My advisor told me that I had a more sane schedule now!

I am hoping to get my yardwork done later today somehow. It might be after I get home from school and then I plan to go to the Mudhouse and work on my study guide for my test next week. I also have homework that I have to get done for my other class! Oh my!

Non-productive day!

I took two Benadryl last night and slept through my alarm for 1 1/2 hours this morning!!! My plan was to get up early and get my tire fixed so I wouldn't have to involve my nieces with having to sit and wait. At least I woke up with being able to breath out of one nostril! I got ready and went and picked up my nieces and then went to go get my tire fixed. It took them an hour to get it done. My nieces and I went to the cafe and got smoothies and then walked around the store a little. We tried samples out that they were offering. The time went pretty fast and it wasn't too bad. We went back to my house and got my books and laptop and headed for the Mudhouse! We weren't very productive at the Mudhouse but it was fun! It would have been more fun to walk around downtown and take pictures!! I did take one pic of them outside the Mudhouse. I need to load it up on my computer!

I haven't gotten much studying done or even the rest of my yardwork! Today I did get a neurological assessment done on one of my nieces for one of my classes so I guess I did do something!!! Tomorrow I am going to have to get serious about getting my study guide done!!! I think I will be going to bed earlier tonight than I have been. All I have wanted to do today is take a nap! I had fun spending time with my nieces and hope to do it again soon! Hopefully, we can walk around downtown when things are open!!!

I have been looking for prima flowers lately. I happened to get my hands on a beige jar one day but no colors! I need to take a trip to not to far away scrapbook store that had tons of them when I was there last!

I love basic grey papers and have been wanting the Urban Corture ever since I saw it in a magazine! I happen to have ordered this online last night so I am looking forward to a fun mail day soon!!!

I am in love with Elsie Flannigan's style and want her book that is to come out in July!!! She currently has stamps by fontwerks out there but it hasn't arrived at my LSS yet! Hopefully in the next week when I go to another class of Elsie's, they will be there!! I have recently downloaded some of her fonts and can't wait till I can use them!!!!

I have been trying to add to my American Craft ribbon collection. I just love these ribbons and would love them in all the colors!!!!

I have been in the mood to download fonts ever since I finally learned how to install them!!! I am hoping to sit down one day and download all sorts of cool fonts to use!!!! I am being smart to burn them to a CD-RW so if my computer does something stupid, I will still be happy! :-)

I have a thing with idea books and magazines! I even went out tonight and bought from scrapbook etc. "design secrets" and love it! It is very inspiring!!!

I am sure there is more out there that I would like but that is all that currently comes to mind!!!

I didn't get the things I wanted to do today done. I woke up this morning and my allergies were full blown!! My ears are clogged and I can't breath through my nose! I just know that mowing my yard last night did it! I took my shower to get ready for my day and had to lay down! My allergies was driving me crazy and thought a little nap would help. It ended up being a 3 hour nap!! I woke up about 5pm and started finishing getting ready. I had plans on going to Borders and home depot. I barely leave my house, making a left hand turn and people kept honking and looking at me! I rolled down my window as they were trying to tell me something. They were telling me that I had a flat tire! I pulled over and I did!!! I checked my trunk and I had all the things to change a flat tire but wasn't sure how to go about it. I called my dad and asked him to help me. He arrived and we changed my tire and I think I could change my own tire now after watching him. My dad found a screw that was stuck in my tire so I went to Sam's to have this repaired only to find out that they stopped taking customers at 7pm!! I asked the guy to at least look at the donut on my car to make sure it had enough air. He was nice enough to look at it. It was too low so he aired it up for me and I was on my way to do the errands I was going to do. The first thing I am doing tomorrow is getting my tire repaired.

I am shopping for a new storm door for my front door. Mine is missing the screens and I can't open them up to let fresh air in. I was told by someone recently that I was losing heating/cooling through that door as the windows arent' fitting properly. I have me a $50 gift certificate that I earned through mypoints.com and decided to use it to get a new door. I picked up a brochure tonight to learn how to measure for a door and also shows the various doors available. While I was there, I also got me face mask so I can hopefully finish mowing my yard without having an allergy attack later! Hope that it works!

I am going to take some Benadryl and go to bed! I hope that I wake up in the morning and can breath through my nose!

I love mint chocolate chip and enjoy having the hardshell chocolate over it!!!! Sooo good!!!!! Tonight I learned that my favorite frozen custard place is going to start taking debit cards! They have always been a cash only place and I don't go very often cause I never carry cash so it might be dangerous that I can use my debit card! I love cookie dough concretes from Andy's!! YUMM!!!!

I feel like I haven't blogged in an eternity for some reason! It was only two days ago! Life has been busy but I am ready this weekend to relax a little!!!

I feel the need to blog about a frustration that happened at work last night! The evening shift was ordering out at my favortie sub shop so I joined in! I was going to save my sandwich and chips for when I took my break at 0200. I thought that would save me time from going to the cafeteria and hoping that I might get my paper proofread on my break. I go into the report room to get my sandwich that I took time to silk tape my chips around and place in the fridge and my chips were gone!!!!!!!! At first glance I thought my sandwich was too but I found it with the silk tape around it. I was upset that someone took my chips!!!! I went out to the nurses station and had to vent about that for a little and then went and bought me new chips - which of course wasn't going to be as good but it would have to do. I ended up not getting my paper proofread on my break. I felt like emailing my nurse manger and tell her we needed to get refridgerated lockers!!! That happens every so often on our floor. I am going to bring sushi one day and see if anyone trys to eat that! :-)

I finally got my paper proofread after getting home from work this morning. I was sooo sleepy but got it done! I wasn't that safe to drive as I kept dosing off at stoplights! I was afraid to take a nap and then deliver it as I tend to sleep through my alarm! I made it to school and back home without any incidents. There was quite a few years ago that I did fall asleep at a stoplight but my foot stayed on the brake! I happened to wake back up when the light was going from green to red again with a few cars behind me. That was scary!!!!! I am off from work for 5 days and I am going to relax a little, study a little, do a little yardwork, bath my 3 cats. Then when I get my yardwork done I am going to sit on my back porch and enjoy it!!!!!

Tonight was the first friday art walk and I missed it! One of my nieces was having a friend spend the night so my sister didn't want to go. I thought I would take Jasmine with me and she was all excited and then she wanted to go to the fitness center at the pool and I thought I would take her a little later but it just didn't work out that way. We are all planning to go to the art walk in May and then the next day is the art fest! Plus that is the same weekend as national scrapbooking day!! That will be a fun weekend! I just hope not that much is going on at school so I can enjoy it!

I do believe that I am going to lounge on my couch and watch some TV. I rarely get to do that these days - I might have to take the laptop with me though!! :-)

Hmmm . . . . . . . . my thoughts would be to pay everything off, including my house! I wouldn't have much left after doing that! Then I could save money for retirement and also I would start updating my home!!!! My Coca-Cola kitchen would be a reality! I wouldn't have to work full-time if I didn't want too. :-)

I have been working hard getting this paper done and I have worked hard getting it done! I have the paper all typed up and printed it out tonight to proofread. I am going to make any changes on the printed copy then update it and be done!!!!! I need to actually get to bed to get some rest as I have a bunch of homework to get done before I go to work Wednesday night!!!

I had some major frustration at the Mudhouse tonight!!! I was working on writing my paper going back and forth from my internet resources and my paper and all of a sudden I couldn't connect to the internet anymore!!!! I tried all the tricks I knew and none of them worked! I went and asked someone who worked there and they didn't know what to do. I started working on other parts of the paper hoping the internet would come back on but it never did. I was there for at least 2 hours after the internet went out hoping it would come back. I ended up finishing my paper at home with fighting with keeping Felix off my papers! I don't understand how the internet could just go out like that! At least I got my paper almost done!!!!

Today in class I was fighting to stay awake and wasn't surprised by that! We were supposed to have a test next Tuesday but our teacher has postponed it another week!!! I was excited as I haven't had much time to look over our review questions with writing this paper! I will have time this weekend to answer all the review questions and not feel as rushed!!!! I also hope to get some yardwork done since I won't be as rushed! WOOHOO!!!!!!

Well, it is 4am here and have to wake up early enough to get all my other homework done!

Busy week + blog challenge

I have been one busy girl trying to get things done for school! I have been working on my paper slowly but surely. I have 6 pages written so far and it has to be at least 8 pages long. I am stuck on the the cellular changes of CLL! That stuff is over my head and I am unsure how to write it to make it sound like it was from me! I have class during the day tomorrow but slept all day and I am not really tired. That is going to make it rough for me to stay up tomorrow after class to get my homework done! I will do it! :-)

I would have to say that my dream is to get my BSN and I am currently working on making that dream a reality. It hasn't been easy with working full-time nights and then having to switch to a daytime schedule! I am slowly and surely getting it done and hopefully will be done by 2008!!!

Another dream that I have is to be able to work from my home and have a more relaxed schedule! I often dream on being like a regular day person. I recently aquired information about being a certified legal nurse consultant but it is expensive! I plan to research this a little more and see if this is something I would really want to do. I actually would rather work night shift and did better with it when I didn't have school. I have a tendancy to stay up later or give up sleep to get some studying done.

One of my wishes is to have more time or learn how to manage my time better! Since I started school, I haven't had the time to really scrapbook or do the things I enjoy without other things getting in the way. I really hope that on my next vacation from work (which is less than two weeks away!!) I can get caught up on school and be able to have some *me* time!

I have been happy since the time changed!!! The weather has been getting warmer, my house isn't freezing to death. It has actually been on the warm side! I can't wait till I will have extra time to get my back porch cleaned up so I can start enjoy being outside! The thing I enjoy the most about the time change is more daylight in the evening hours! I might be able to enjoy some daylight when I wake up now! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!

I do believe that I need to look over my references again to come up with a game plan for the cellular changes of CLL before it does get to much later!

I have a friend that is from Czech and when he first meet me he get saying my name wrong - nothing like it was spelled! He told me that it was a name in his country but he would say "Deanna". He was still learning english when I had meet him. It is fun knowing the meaning of your name!

I had a fun time at my class tonight with Elsie Flannigan! I can't wait till I can go to the classes in April! My sister seems interested so I am thinking about getting those classes for her for her birthday! I would love it if she could come!! (Sharla, if you happen to read this, pretend you didn't read this as it is supposed to be a surprise!!) :-) I will post pics of what I have done the last two nights! I was going to do that tonight and the batteries went dead in my camera. Wouldn't you know it?

When I got home my sister had emailed me information about a scrapbooking night at her church! I am off from work and we are going to go! I think that will be a lot of fun!

I have been working on getting my fall semester registered at school. I have ended up registering for a class in the summer, maybe two. I might take 4 classes in the fall. My advisor told me what I have chosen will be pretty aggressive but depending on my schedule it could be done. After several emails back and forth I told her I will think about all the info she has given me and get back with her. I can take two classes as correspondence and maybe take a different prereq in the fall but it would clash with a class I would like to take. I am going to sit down with the schedule and try to map out the rest of my college days! I had originally thought I would graduate in 2010 but since they have changed the program to an accelerated BSN program I might get it done by spring 2008 - my sooner! That would be awesome!!!!! I need to get done with school so I can have more time to scrapbook! I have a dream to wake up and do nothing but scrapbook all day with my cats sitting around me! I am sure Felix would be in the middle of it seeing what is going one! He is such a mama's boy!!! :-) I need to scrapbook the day I saw him at the pet store! That would be a fun layout!

I think I had better get some sleep! I might take pictures before going to bed if the batteries are charged!

Sunday night!

I have to tell something funny of what I did on Sunday night!!! A friend called me last week and asked if I would like to go to a dance with her. I told her I would but didn't get details only that it was casual. So on Sunday we are heading to the place the dance is being held at and she is telling me that her and her sister has played bingo there. She even told me that she won $500 playing one night!!!!! We get there and walk in the door and I realize that I was the youngest one there!!!! I was going to a dance for senior citizens!!!! My friend is in her early 60's but she doesn't look it at all!!! They were even playing country music which I dislike! I was wondering what I got myself into!!! A little Malibu Rum and it was all okay!!!! :-) We had tickets to win a free drink and I won the first drawing!!!!! More Malibu Rum!!! I was excited and I told my friend that I deserved it since I was the youngest one there!!! It actually wasn't a bad night at all! I danced with a few of the men. One was trying to teach me how to waltz and I need more practice!!! We left a little early and went to dinner together. It was a fun change to my Sunday evening but I don't think I will go to another!

OHHHHH!!!!! Just noticed the time!!!! I have to gather my supplies and head to my second class with Elsie!!!! I will have to post pics later!!!! :-)

More computer issues . . . . .

On Sunday, I noticed that my quickplay keys for my music wasn't working and that some other programs wasn't running quite like they should. Some programs just wouldn't run or would freeze up! I decided on Monday to take my laptop back to Best Buy and see what is going on. They took a look at it and told me my registry was all messed up and I told them I was getting errors about my registry and it was related to Microsoft programs. I had called the tech support at Microsoft - as the error message told me to do - and had the assist me with this problem. Well, I guess what he had me do messed my computer up even more! They told me today that I need to do another system restore!!!! I wanted to scream!!!!! I had been on the phone that morning getting my taxcut program reinstated because I downloaded it! I went home and got the CD out to do the restore. It didn't wipe out my hard drive so I was a little confused. I took the CD's I had that came with my computer and went back up to Best Buy and I was using the wrong CD. He got my restore started for me and tonight I have stayed up until almost all my programs are installed! PHEW!!!!!!!! I need my computer to work so I can stop messing with it and I can study for my classes!!!!!! I hope that this time it fixed everything and I won't have to restore anymore!

On a more exciting note! I had my first class with Elsie Flannigan tonight!!! I enjoyed it!!!! I can't wait till my next one which is actually later today!!! I have my photo all printed and ready to go!!! Her husband was there too and he says I look familiar like we had meet before but I don't know where. He seems to know people in Fair Grove so who knows we might know some of the same people! I will have to post a pic when I get the time of what I did tonight!

I can't believe it is 0100!!!! I have to get up early tomorrow for class so I had better head to bed! :-)

Return of the computer!!!

I am sooo excited cause I have my new laptop back!!!!! I got a call from Best Buy on Thursday so I went and picked it up. They had to replace the motherboard and the hard drive!!!! They told me it must have been a malfunction since it was only 5 months old! Thank goodness for service plans! So glad that I did get one or I would be stuck with a dead computer!!! I am slowly getting things back to working order and hope that it will be the last time I have to do this!

I got a security system installed in my house on Friday and it took 9 hours!!! I was told that it would take about 4 hours. I had gotten off work that morning at 0700 and he arrived around 0800 and didn't leave till 1800. I was sooo tired and he had to teach me how to use the alarm with me half awake! I hope that I don't accidently set it off! I have been afraid to set it on instant alarm as if I open a door it will call the police then. This morning I had forgotten I can't just open the garage door and it started beeping at me! I had to turn it off then I could go in and out and do what I needed to do.

I have been eating lots of sushi lately to get a taste of what I like and don't like. I could really do without the seaweed that they wrap it in! I learned that a local grocery store has someone come in and make sushi and you can special order what you want. I went there and got me 4 different types and liked 3 of them. The one I didn't like was the tempura shrimp and only because they put the seaweed wrap on the outside instead of the inside. I don't mind the contents so I have been peeling the seaweed off and eating the contents! I need to go back today and see what other types I can try!

Spring break is going to be over very soon and I am enjoying it! I have decided today to do some studying to get me ready for the week. I am sitting in the Mudhouse enjoying the atmosphere! I haven't been to hardcore in the studying but I have done a little and that is what counts!

I am sooooo excited about tomorrow as I am taking my first class with Elsie Flannigan at a LSS!!! My second one is on Tuesday! I already have the picture ready for Tuesday. Tomorrow is called 100 inspirations and it doesn't require pictures so I am excited to see what we are going to do in that!!!

I am at the Mudhouse and I think I am going to order me some lunch and study some more. :-)

Photo Fun

I am enjoying playing with my new camera and took a picture of Chloe and I tonight. I printed out my first 5x7 picture! I am thinking of taking this picture with me to one of Elsie's classes that I am taking! I can't wait!!! I actually came up to my bonus room to organize my scrap area and have figured out how to upload pictures from my camera to my computer instead! I am glad that I bought the newer version of Microsoft digital image 2006 as it has more modernized selections. One example is the cell phone picture readjust. I need to get the manual out and learn all the cool stuff I can do with my pictures!! One thing I am learning with my new camera is the file size is HUGE!!!!! I posted this picture in photobucket and it reduced the file size for uploading. The picture is still huge though.

I went to Best Buy tonight to get the 5x7 photo paper and also got post-it brand photo paper! It is soo neat!! It is 4x6 and there are two strips of adhesive on the back similar to a post-it note! I printed the above pic out on it and even have text go around the edges! I am thinking about sticking this to my locker at work! Everyone else seems to have pictures on there locker but me. :-)

My nieces and I had fun together but I was really hoping for warmer weather!! We actually didn't get dressed till about 5pm as my sister was about to pick them up! Since it was cold outside there wasn't much else to do. I was hoping to go to the Mudhouse with them but I finally made it there by 10pm tonight and stayed till they closed. I hope that the weather is warmer this weekend and maybe my sister and I can get together and I can get some new pictures taken! I have taken a lot of pictures of my cats but need people pictures too!!!

I only have to work two more shifts till my vacation starts!!!! I can't wait! I have a paper to start writing for my pathophysiology class and if I turn it in by April 7th I can get extra credit. I need all the extra credit I can get!!! I actually need to email my teacher. I have been playing and doing what I want for the last few days not thinking about school to much. I think I needed that mental break! This weekend I am going to start getting serious again! I have to fit in some scrapbooking fun in this vacation! My classes at the LSS is going to help me do that!!!!

I am going to straighten my scrap room up a little and then go watch a little TV and then get some sleep before having to go to work. I also need to make a stop at a LSS before going to work! That will be a nice start of my day!!!

I have gotten some of my stuff on E-bay, antique shops and then we also have a Coca-Cola store here. It is going to be moving to another town again that is an hour or so away. I will have to make a trip there someday!!! Family and friends get me Coca-Cola stuff too!!!

Just got home from work and ready to take a nap! I am going to pick up my nieces this afternoon and I was hoping to take them tomorrow downtown to take pictures but the weather has turned bad. The high is supposed to be 30 with a chance of snow! We will have to go with plan B but I am unsure what that is yet! :-)

I will listen to my favorite radio station that plays alternative/modern rock music. Sometimes if it is later at night I will listen to Dr. Drew "Lovelines". I occasionally listen to r&b/hip-hop that is on the radio. That station doesn't come in as clear!

I was going to post a pic of one of my cats that I took with my new camera but the file size is to large!!! My new pics are all about 1.12 MB a piece!!! Ideas

Last night since I couldn't sleep and I couldn't get my printer to install on several attempts, I went through my older Creating Keepsakes magazines to find Elsie Flannigan's layouts. I love using flowers and have always liked the flowers she uses. There are instructions on how she makes her flowers! I might have me some ideas for my Jammie Crop page I need to do! At the crop I am going to in May, we are all making a 6x6 LO about us to trade with others that are going. I can't wait to have a scrapbook of my scrap jammie friends!!!! I am sure when I take some of her classes that I will have more ideas! I can't wait!!!!! I just wish I had more time to scrapbook!!!! I just need to get my pictures retrieved from my DVD disk that I have. Currently, I don't have any digital pictures on my computer! I think I will go work on that! Ohhh, I finally got my current issue of Creating Keepsakes in the mail today too! Can't wait till I can read it!!!

Spring Fever!!!! 8 Questions about SPRING!

1. Have you gone on spring break before? if so, where, and if not, why?

I don't believe I have!! The reason I don't get to go any where fun on spring break is that fact that I work too and not being able to get enough days off to go anywhere fun!

2. Do you take a spring vacation?

I acutally take a week a month!!! I have two weeks in April! I have vacation the end of this month and looking forward to some warmer weather (I hope!). I normally don't do anything but just relax at home. School keeps me from traveling on these little vacations. My week off in May I am meeting with scrapbooking friend I talk to online to a crop! Can't wait!!!!

3. If you had (or have) a spring vacation, what would be your first choice to do? skiing in vermont? a week in the keys?

If I was able to go any where I would choose a beach vacation - Florida Keys would be a good one!! I have been thinking about planning a trip there someday soon!

4. In your home/apartment, do you do spring cleaning?

Sometimes!! I try to keep on top of everything so I don't have to as it bothers my allergies too much if I do too much cleaning!

5. In your area, what is your weather generally like in mid-march?

It varies. The highest we have been this month is 77 and lowest in the 30's. We have had some warm days and some cold days! I am ready for it to stay warm!! Today was chilly.

6. Spring is one of my favourite seasons ... do you share my sentiment, or do you prefer another season?

I prefer Summer cause the weather is a lot warmer and I enjoy taking my nieces to the fountain at Jordan Valley for picture moments!!!

7. Do you do anything differently in spring than you do any other time of the year? (plant flowers/garden, take off the snow tires, etc.)

I do have a garden and flower garden. I need to work on my garden to get it ready! I have to start mowing my yard again!!!

8. What are your plans for this weekend?

I actually have to work this weekend put looking forward to having my nieces spend the night Monday so we can spend the whole day together on Tuesday!!!

I am looking forward to the time changing to have more daylight!!!! Since I work night shift, I miss a lot of the daylight and enjoy it when I can sleep during the day and wake up and still have a few hours of sunlight to enjoy!!! I am ready to get my back patio cleaned up from all the leaves to start enjoying the outdoors more!!

I had a fun filled Friday!!! I worked all night and got off work at 0700 and was quite sleepy but was meeting friends for lunch. We went to a new sushi place called "Umi's". I had never had sushi before and I only had a couple of bits as my friends ordered raw sushi - I wasn't quite ready for that!! What sushi I did have was good. I ordered chicken with teriyaki and it was delicious!!!! I am going to have to go back to this place!!! I would like to try some different types of sushi too!

I got back home and had to check my test score on Blackboard for my Pathophysiology test and I did better than I thought I did and glad about that!!! I actually made a little bit better score on this test than the first one. I am not going to give up on this class yet. If I study hard enough and can do good on the paper and case study I should be able to pass this class!!! This is a hard class and hopely my last science class that I ever have to take! (Unless I go on for my Master's!!)

Later in the afternoon, I went and had my make-up done at my favorite make-up counter Prescriptives. I just love there make-up cause it goes on so smooth and has a flawless look to it! I liked what they did today. I like my make-up to be natural looking and sometimes they get a little wild with the eyeshadow and blush. I was happy with the look they gave me so I had to go show it off a little and did some browsing at Barnes & Noble! While I was there, I saw the new Creating Keepsakes - which I subscribe too but don't have my copy yet. I was excited to see that Elsie Flannigan made the front cover!! I just love her style and I am excited about taking some classes from her later this month and in April!

I also made a stop at Best Buy about the DVD's of my hard drive of my laptop that is getting repaired. I got them home the other night and couldn't get anything to upload and it is soooo confusing trying to find files!!! I have 5 DVD's of files to search! AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I told them what files I was concerned about and needed until my newer laptop gets repaired. They uploaded my favorites list!! I thought I had lost those web addresses forever but yeah I didn't!!! He was going so fast and I asked him to show me how he did all this. He showed me some stuff but I still think I will be confused!!! For some reason I can't get my CD to my printer to install on my computer so I have no way to print! I am hoping that I can get that fixed tonight!

I was up for almost 30 hours before going to bed and I woke up 5 hours later not able to fall back asleep! I got up and cleaned the kitchen and going to work on trying to install some more of my files on my computer. I just hope that I can get some sleep soon! I have been exhausted from this week and ready for it to be over with!!

Spring break!!!!!

I finished my last assignment for the week and don't have to do anything school related if I choose till 3/28!!!!! In one more week I will be on vacation from work. I am hoping to work ahead, start my research paper for one of my classes and get the review questions answered for my next test in Pathophysiology. I will find out on Friday how I did on my second Pathophysiology test. I am unsure on how I did and scared to see my results.

I feel relaxed tonight after getting my homework done. I have been pushing myself so hard this week and going on only a few hours of sleep everyday to have time to get my homework/studying done. I was sooo sleepy when I got home from work Wednesday morning!!! I was nodding my head trying to do my charting on the computer that morning! I was glad that report was fast that morning and got to go home and get some sleep!!!

I went to Best Buy today to pick up my back up DVD's from my laptop's hard drive. The guy that was helping me wrote out what files to look for to reopen my favorites link and outlook addresses but I get home and can't get this figured out!!! He told me that if I needed help to bring my computer and the DVD's in and they would help me. He said he finds it confusing! I just want a few things to get me through till my laptop is repaired and then I will want to upload more!!!

I am going to read some of the scrapbooking magazines I bought last week that I haven't had time to read yet! TTFN!!

Computer issues

My computer kept dying on me last night even after the lady with tech support helped me get it to turn back on. At least I did get my notes printed out!!!!! It got to where that trick she told me about wouldn't work anymore and all I had on my hands was a dead computer! I went to Best Buy today and they are going to back up my hard drive for me and send it off to be repaired. I should have it back by the end of spring break. I have gotten my old laptop back out and got it internet ready tonight and uploading programs I need for school. It has been on heck of a day!!! I have been trying to study for my test I have today but my mind is racing and I can't concentrate. I am already wishing for Wednesday so I can get some sleep!!!! I have all kinds of homework due in my other class that day but it isn't due till midnight so I should be okay.

On the other hand, a good thing that I did get to do today is sign up for classes with Elsie Flannigan!!!!! I am going go sign up for another tomorrow so I am taking three in total!!! YEAH!!!!! Some scrapbooking fun is in my future!!!!!!

As for the blog challenge today: What was the last thing you won??? I can't really remember what the last thing I won BUT the biggest thing that sticks out in my mind is winning the lottery!! I used to occasionally buy a lottery ticket and this particular day the one I liked was sold out so the attendant told me I should try another one - I remember it had something to do with the Kentucky Derby. I got back into my car and scratched it off and it looked like I won $500 but I thought that isn't true. I put it in the passenger seat and drove home. Later that evening I was looking at it again and even called the gas station back and told him what my ticket said and he said "Congratulations!!!" - I was still in shock and didn't believe it. I went the next day and showed it to them in person and they said I did indeed win and gave me money orders for $500!!!!! I need to be pinched cause I didn't belive it at all!!!!! I have actually not played the lottery that much since!

I had better get busy on cramming for my test!

1. What time of year do you blog the most?
I would say the summer as I am not in school and have time to do things I enjoy!

2. What time of year do you seem to blog the least?
I would say currently I am not blogging as often just because of my work and school schedule.

3. What time of DAY do you do your most blogging?
In the evening time or night time! Since I work night shift I am up at all hours of the night!!!!

4. When blog-hopping, do you tend to look at your blogroll list (or fave blogs) to see which ones have been updated, or do you visit your faves on a regular basis regardless?
I enjoy visiting my fave blogs on a regular basis but haven't been keeping up with that. Was actually doing that tonight when my computer quit! (See previous post for details if you wish!)

5. Do you change your blogroll often?
If there is a blog that I enjoy reading, I will add it to my "blogroll" - it keeps growing!!!

6. How many times a day, after writing a new post, do you check for new comments?
I have them emailed to me and I check my email freqently when I am at home!

7. Do you leave comments on others' blogs, or are you more of a lurker?
I would say I am a little of both but I do try to leave comments often!!! I love getting comments and I am sure other people do too!!!

Ohhh, they just announced that the tornado warning is over for my county!!! I think I am going to go to bed now! I hope to have time to read everyone's blog later today!

Time for a nervous breakdown!!!!!

I have been working on my lecture review questions for my test this Tuesday since last month and all weekend have been finalizing the answers. I only had 14 more to answer and tonight my laptop QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was the battery because I didn't have it plugged in. That wasn't it and it won't turn on for anything!!!!!! The blue lights don't even turn on that show itis plugged in!!! All my Pathophysiology notes for my test is on there!!!!! I am going to have a nervous breakdown now!!!! I am actually on hold with Best Buy just to see if they have any suggestions for me but if they can't help me (which I don't think they will be able to) I will be at Best Buy when the doors open in the morning!!!! I am currently on my OLD desktop but at least it still works! I am happy that I did buy a service plan so they will fix it without any charges. I have only had this laptop for 5 months!!! I still have my old laptop but haven't been able to get my wireless card loaded so I can get internet. I might do that before going to bed tonight so I can at least get on the internet. I have all my assignments saved on that computer!! Okay, enough about the computer.

I got me a new camera a week ago at Best Buy on sale!! (I also bought a service plan for it too, just in case!) I got me a Nikon Coolpix L1 with 6.2MP and I love it!!!! My old camera is a Nikon Coolpix 775 with only 2.1 MPand prints good pictures but I could only print 4x6 and they look good. My new camera is supposed to be able to do 16x20!! I don't think I will ever get a pic that big but at least I can get bigger prints!!! I took my new camera to my nieces school carnival Friday so whenever I get this laptop thing figured out I can post them!!

I just got off the phone with technical support from Best Buy and they helped me get my computer turned back on!!!!! I am on my laptop now!!!!!! I was soooo excited!!!!!! If that happens again I will have to remember what she told me. When I turned my laptop back on I had 59% battery power left so I don't know what caused my computer to do that. But I am going to go print out my notes, just in case.

We keep having storms tonight with tornado warnings. The sirens have come back on again!! I need to clean out my hallway closet so my cats and I can fit if needed!!! I am in the most unsafe part of my house currently - upstairs in my bonus room. As soon as my notes print I am going to head downstairs, have some diet A&W rootbeer and if they sirens turn off soon, go to bed!!! This computer scare has worn me out!!

First Friday Art walk

I wanted to post something fun today!!! Last Friday my sister and one of my nieces and there half-sister and I went to the art walk! My other niece was enjoying herself at a church function and she got to spend the night at a resort in Branson, MO. The weather was a little chilly at the beginning and then it got to cold. I can't wait till it warms up a little in the evening to be able to enjoy the art walk without freezing!

Anyways, we enjoyed ourselves walking to our favorite art spots. There are some spots that we never get too and I have a map but we always seem to go to the same places. Our favorite stop, which isn't really art, is Phorm fit living! I absolutely love this store as it is all retro!!! The pics posted here are of that store and the one spinning the turntables is the owner! He told me some wonderful news!!!!! The Fatboys with prints are being released in the United States in April!! I have to get me one and I want it to go upstairs so I can lounge in my bonus room! I also took pictures of shag rug samples that I want to have a small rug made to go in my extra bedroom. I also fell in love with a clock but it is $249 so I will just enjoy the picture!!

I had an embarrassing moment when we left Phorm! We were all getting ready to cross the street and an SUV was driving down and we started crossing the road. I was looking the other way and started walking not realizing the SUV had stopped and I walked right into it!!! I could not stop laughing after that happened!!! The girls was telling me that normally vehicles run into you when you not the other way around! We all had a good laugh! At that point we were on to the Mudhouse!!

We all stood in the massive line to get a drink at the Mudhouse but for some reason they didn't call my name and I kept waiting for my drink. My sister had hers already but still 10 minutes later, I still had no drink. I asked and the guy snapped at me!!!! They said my drink was next. I went back to our table and sat, waiting for my name to be called. My sister went up to the drink counter and said my drink still wasn't there. I went up there and one of the girls working saw me waiting for my drink again and was shocked that I hadn't gotten my drink. She says she remembers making it so I think someone took off with my drink! They gave me a free drink card since that happened and I finally got to enjoy my frozen mudturtle with the rest of my crew! I ended up seeing one of my HOT friends - he always makes my day! He was with his friends so we didn't talk to long. But we sat in there till Jasmine was telling us she was tired and wanted to go to bed!

I am hoping to have my nieces spend the night this Friday so we can have some quality time together! I won't know till the end of the week. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!!

Frustrations

I felt the need to voice my frustrations. I am sitting here in the Mudhouse trying to get my homework done and I am sitting here trying to figure out how I am going to get all this stuff done this week and work!!!! I am sooo ready for this semster to be over!

My pathophysiology class is very interesting but the test in that class is hard! I have a test in one week and haven't had the time to work on my study guide like I have wanted. At least I have started on it but I am not up to the point that we are in class so when she ask us in class if we have any questions from the review questions I listen and write down what other people are asking but I am unable to ask any as I haven't had time to work as far as some of my classmates. I do have a four day weekend and it will be spent trying to finish the study guide by Saturday so I can spend the rest of the weekend studying the questions and reading the book with these questions.

My health assessment class is very interesting and isn't hard information to me at all but it has soo much busy work that are for zero points but if we don't do it then we get points taken away from us. I felt like quite a dork last week when we did meet for class when we did our check off for assessment to head, ears, eyes, nose and throat. My lab partner has had more time to read through the book. I scan over the chapters to get the info I need but I am learning that there are things that I am missing. My lab partner was pointing some things out to me that will help me in writing my lab write-ups. Since we don't have class but once a month, I haven't been able to get with my partner to practice what we were being checked off on. My lab partner did a very good assessment on me and I could tell that she had spent more time than I had. I did pass the assessment but I didn't go through it as smoothly as my partner did. I am hoping that I will be able to work more on this for the next check off. I have been spending more time on my Pathophysiology class as it is harder and I need to study it more. I am unsure how I am going to get all this stuff done for this class and get all my studying done for my test in Pathophysiology test next week. Anyway, I am looking forward to the end of this semester as I will be off from school this summer!!!

Work has been crazy the last week and staffing has been short. I have gotten phone messages to come in to work extra - that doesn't help my study time!! I feel as if I don't have much time to relax and really miss doing just nothing if I like! I wouldn't mind helping out if I didn't have soo much studying and if I adequate sleep.

Anyway, something I find exciting is that my favorite radio station is on the web now!!! I am sitting in the Mudhouse listening to my favorite radio station from the internet!!!! :-) If you would like to listen to my favorite radio station here is the link!!!!!!
