Moonshine Beach!!!

We all had such a wonderful day! I really enjoyed Moonshine Beach and hope to go back soon! We spent a couple of hours there but it still doesn't beat a real beach at the ocean. You really need those water shoes as there is rock instead of sand near the shore. It was fun having a beach like setting to hang out at! I also learned that you shouldn't keep you swimsuit in the trunk of your car as my swimsuit had lost its elasticity from the heat!!! So now I need a new swimsuit, not an easy task.

After we got done at the beach, we decided to check out the new Branson Landing different shops but didn't have enough time to really look at all of them. They also have water fountains in the center and have shopping center. I really enjoyed the feel of the outdoor shopping experience! It reminding me of the outdoor shopping centers near the water in Cancun! AHHHH!!!!! Nice thoughts! I am going to have to go there more often so I can dream of the ocean! We enjoyed going through thea fire and water show! I wasn't expecting fire and it kinda shocked me! I got a few pictures of it but there is a much better picture on there website!

I also would like to go see the titanic in branson. The museum is the first half of the titanic! I was going to get a picture but my camera was in the trunk of my car! I have been told by more than one person that it is worth going through so I hope to do that someday soon! :-)

I had decided that there is lots of fun stuff to do in Branson which is a nearby getaway for me. I have always disliked going to Branson as I associated it with country music but there is much more than that there!!!

Elsie's book signing

I was happy that I was able to wake up in enough time before work to attend Elsie's book signing!!! Elsie is such an awesome person and love her work! Her husband T.J. and there dog cocoa was there! I didn't think about bringing my camera but I did have my cell phone with me so I did take some pics but haven't uploaded them to my computer yet.

She had a display of the layouts featured in the book and it was great seeing them in person!!! There are some many dimesions that you miss!!! I can't wait till I can sit down with her book and create!

My scrap room is a mess and my supplies are so disorganized that it is making it difficult for me to scrapbook! I really need to work on this so I can sit down and just get what I need and scrap. Maybe on my vacation which starts in the morning when I get off from work!

Ophidiophobia

Tonight I went outside to water my garden and the neighbors dog chased a snake into my yard. Hmmmmm . . . . . . . . . why does that snake have to stay around in my yard? Just because I have a dog house doesn't mean that it has to sleep under it! I looked up the name for phobia of snakes as I believe I have this. It is a little worse now that I have to deal with a snake appearance almost everyday. I need to start carrying my rake with me - just in case it makes an appearance I will have some defense!

Fun, relaxing day

I started my day out yesterday with cleaning. Not to fun and exciting but it needs to be done. I am working on getting my house spotless so when I go back to school I will have a clean house. I am hoping to come up with some plan that will help me keep things clean to make it not such a big job when I do clean! I will work on that next week when I am on vacation. That will be another relaxing day at the Mudhouse! I can get more accomplished there! Such a wonderful atmosphere. Just love it!

Yesterday a friend of mine came over and I was excited for him to walk in my house and see my clean living room. I had forgotten I had the garage door open and he walked in the garage door - the part of the house that wasn't clean yet!!!! Oh, well! I thought we had a nice time together yesterday and I actually found it calming. We just sat around listening to music and chatting. Then we went outside and sat on my back porch for awhile and I tended to my garden. Then he wanted to go for a walk. I live near a park, actually one of the biggest parks with a swimming pool! I have lived at my house for 2 years and have never taken a walk to the park. I am going to have to start doing this more often. I enjoyed our walk and hanging out at the park. I was wearing flip-flops and learned that wasn't a very good choice for walking! Next time I will change shoes. I had wished I had my camera with me so I can practice being a photographer! I will next time I make that adventure!

Later in the evening we were going to go to the artwalk together but he called and was tired and so we decided not to go. I ended up doing a little bit of shopping and got India.Aries new album. Just love her music!!!!!! I went to our newly remodeled Target which has a Starbucks in it!!! I am going to have to go back just to relax in the starbucks there! They also added a Pizza Hut also. I didn't walk through the whole store as my feet still was sore from walking in the flip-flops earlier! I think I will return after I get off work in the morning to see what I can find! I also went to Barnes & Noble for awhile and found Creating Keepsakes new Can-Do Techniques magazine. I can't wait till I can sit down and use some of the ideas in there! I noticed that Barnes & Noble is expanding there magazine selection. I am excited to see if they are going to start carrying more magazines! I love going in there and getting a few magazines and sitting in the cafe! I haven't done that in awhile but I think I will when I wake up Monday!

I should get some more sleep as I do work tonight and I need to be able to wake up early to go a LSS where Elsie is going to be signing her book!!!!! It is from 4pm-6pm so hopefully I can wake up early enough to get my book signed and then head off to work!!!! Then when I get off Monday morning it will be time for vacation! :-)

2 peas challenge - self portrait!

I have a recent picture of me and my cat that I had taken but thought it would be fun to take another photo! No cats are included this time. I would like to take more photos of myself for a "Me" book that I would like to make! I got almost two months ago "Self-centered" and also the workbook to go with it to assist you on make a "ME" book. I would also like to get the "ME" book from autumn leaves. I read there blog every so often to see what people have done and love it!!!

I woke up at 3am today since I had been asleep since 1pm the day before! I got up and decided to wash all my sheets and comforter so I am excited to sleep in a clean, organized bed tonight! While I was making my bed this morning around 6am I feel asleep again before getting my bed made! I didn't think I was that tired but I guess I was! I woke back up around 12pm and finally got in the shower to get ready for the day.

I am going to work hard tonight on getting my house clean! I have a friend that will be coming over to pick up something soon and it seems like my house is always messy when he comes over so I want to shock him with a clean house! If I was a stay-at-home-kitty-mom I could keep up with the house cleaning better! :-) To bad one of my cats didn't have a job. Maybe I should try to find one of my cats a modeling job and then I could go PRN at the hospital! I can dream!

I am currently at the Mudhouse and just relaxing! The internet is working here today. I was here last Sunday and they had gotten a new router and they couldn't get it configured so no internet. I am going to catch up on some emails while I am here to.

My plans with my nieces didn't work as they have there half-sister is with them this week. I really hope that next week they can spend the night with me! We need to have some fun aunt time while I am on vacation from work and while we aren't in school! It won't be long that school will be starting back up for all of us!

Another snake appearance

When I got home from work I went to my backyard to water my garden and the snake was waiting for me at the gate!!!!! I am always thinking of the snake as I am entering the backyard and then it was right there at my feet! I thought I would go back to my garage and get my big heavy rake and I walk back to the snake and it slithered off!!!!! OHHHHH!!!! I wish that thing would go somewhere else! It needs to slow down so I can get it! If I wasn't a little paranoid about the snake before I am a little more know! I jump everytime I see a stick laying in the yard! Maybe someday it will go away. I even had a dream that I caught the snake but woke and realized it was a dream . . . . . . . . :-)

WOW! Work has been super busy and I was so ready to go home this morning and the nurse that was taking my patients didn't show up for work! They kept leaving messages for her. I stayed over as they thought she would call and come into work but no such luck! Around 9am they decided to split up my team since she hadn't called. At least I did get the morning meds passed and dressings done so hopefully that helped out the day crew since they had to pick them up.

I am excited about my vacation next week and hope to get my house somewhat clean before my vacation starts. I also want to do fun things with my nieces too. I will see how that goes!!!

Happy day!

I am excited as this is my first day that I will be able to enjoy not having to study! I am actually going to do some things around the house, mow my yard and then hang out at the Mudhouse for awhile. I also am going to finish up these circle journals that I have so I can send them off and hopefully I am done with that. I will most likely wait till I am out of school before doing another circle journal. :-)

Last night I went out with a friend of mine for her birthday. We got downtown around 9pm and there wasn't that many people out yet. After walking around downtown for awhile, we finally ended up at the piano bar! I just love Ernie Biggs! It is quite an awesome place to hang out! It is always packed in there AND we ended up seeing Aaron Buerge from the Bachelor. It has been a few years since he was on the bachelor but he is HOT!!!! (The big for today is of Aaron!!!) My friend got her picture taken with him too! We asked some a group of people is we could sit at there table as they had two chairs that they weren't using. When they left, these HOT guys sat at our table! It was a fun time!

I am going to get busy with mowing my yard.

Lots of sleep!

Wow did I ever sleep! I went back to bed around 0500 this morning and slept till noon today! I think I have gotten around 15 hours of sleep! I just hope it last me all night when I am at work tonight. I am in charge today so I hope there isn't too much going on. That might be wishful thinking though!!! I am off to get my hair trimmed and then do a little shopping at Hobby Lobby for some ribbon then go to work! Later!

School is out!!!!

Yeah!!! I am excited about my 3 week break from school! I stayed up all night and got my papers done. This morning I was finally ready to watch Firefall and write about the music they played and the hours that the TV guide told it was, wasn't. I only got 10 minutes of it recorded! I tried to get ahold of the symphony that played and of course the lady that had the info was out for the day! I did what I could. It was too late for me to do something else. I also sat down and watch Cats today and wrote about all the music in it. I was so relieved that I got done with all this by 1230 so I could concentrate on studying for the final! YEAH!!!!

While I was trying to study this afternoon, my allergies stirred up! I have been sneezing like crazy!!! I went to the Mudhouse before school and was about to fall asleep - inbetween sneezing that is! I was sneezing all through the test. I was so excited about school being out that I was going to do something fun after class but I didn't want to go places being all sneezy! Plus, I had virtually no sleep also. I did run by Barnes & Noble and got the new Scrapbooks, etc. and Scrapbook Answers magazines and ended up falling asleep in my bed at 1900 tonight. I woke up at 0300!!!!!!! I am ready to get back to bed!

I am including a picture that was in my Intro. to Music book that is actually a pencil drawing but it looks like a photograph! It amazes me to look at it! It is a photo realism drawing. I just wish I could do drawing like that or just be able to draw! :-)

Less than 24 hours . . . . . . . .

till school will be over for me for 3 weeks!!! Here the day is almost over and I still haven't done anything towards homework! I am just not motivated but I am being forced to get things done now. I guess that will be my motivation!

I have trouble with my night shift schedule staying awake during the day. Today was no different! I actually got up around 0620 and got the trash out by the curb and was going to go back to bed but never did. I pondered around the house and then around 1230 I went and layed down to what was supposed to be for 30 minutes and then I woke up at 1630!!!!! So I finished getting ready, watered my garden and packed up my laptop and headed to the Mudhouse to get some work done.

I have to say I really enjoy my Napster account and I am currently listening to India Arie's new CD! I just love her style and really wish that I could have made it to St. Louis when she was having a FREE concert under the arch! Work got in the way. If I knew about this ahead of time I would have requested off. I am going to enjoy the tunes as I type up my fine arts report and do some needed research online! It will make it more enjoyable at least!

I took pictures of Chloe and Felix this morning. I am not sure where Pandora was for the photo shoot so I will have to get some new pictures of her soon. Pandora has learned she can sleep under my headboard of my bed and doesn't get bothered so I am guessing that was where she was at that moment! Chloe is getting fluffy again but her hair is still short compared to what it was before she got her lion cut. I really want to have there pictures professionally done and would like Chloe's hair to look like it used to so hopefully I can do that before Christmas and include them in cards! :-)

I had better get started with my homework so I am not here till midnight!

School is almost over!!!

I can't wait except I still have my research paper, 2 concert reports, type up my fine arts report and studying for the final! I have to get this all done by 1700 on Thursday!!!! I was planning to work on my paper today but I was so tired from work that I slept from noon till 2330 tonight! I actually feel like going back to bed but I think I am going to at least type up my fine arts report before going back to bed. I hope that my research paper doesn't take me to long. YIKES!!!!!

I have a little less than 2 weeks till my vacation from work and I can't wait! My sister is going to be off a few of those days too so we are going to do some fun things together with my nieces!!! I can't wait! I hope that my nieces get to spend the night and they don't have that much going on and we can go play in the fountain at Jordan Valley! :-)

I think before I start in on my school work I am going to straighten things up in my kitchen! I can't wait till Thursday as I am going feel relaxed after school is out! :-) Better get busy . . . . . .

I finally found Elsie's book!!!!

I called all the LSS in my town and none of them had Elsie's new book. Creations Unlimited said they will have it August 6 as Elsie is having a book signing party but I have to work that day so I thought I might as well go find it somewhere else. I called a nearby scrapbook store this morning and they have it!!!! I took a journey to the nearby scrapbook store and got me a copy!!! I am so excited to finally have her book! I really can't wait till school is out next week so I can hopefully have time to work on some of the challenges!

While I was at this scrapbook store I also got me some cool new stamps my making memories that are flowers! I can't wait till I can use them! I have actually had thoughts of stamping my mailbox with them to make my mailbox more exciting.

School is going to be over next week and I can't wait!!!! I still have a research paper and 2 concert reports to do and I need to type up my fine arts report. I was trying to do research today but I was getting way to sleepy while I was at the Mudhouse so I went home and ended up falling asleep around 8pm!

Since I don't have my lawn service anymore my grass is getting a little tall. I realized it really isn't that bad since it has been so hot here. The grass is the longest around my little garden from it getting watered. I hope that it cools off a little so I can mow my yard. The temps have been around 100 and that is just to hot to be mowing a yard!

Anyway, I work the next three nights at work and that is going to leave me cramming all of these homework assignments in at the last minute plus trying to study for a final!!!! I am kinda scared of this final as he always has had us write out definitions (no matching!!!) and all the definitions are free game! Out of 5 test we have had about 90 definitions so I need to know all of them. There are only going to be 15 on the test! YIKES!!!!!! I do believe I am going to party after class next Thursday as that is when my summer will start!!! :-)

2peas blog challenge

The challenge for today is: List 5 things that put you in a good mood

1. Listening to music! I love listening to music and it always makes me feel better!! I try to listen to it often!

2. My new Sony Ericsson w600i cell phone! What I love about my new phone is the walkman and FM radio that is included in it! I sometimes will listen to music that I have uploaded to my phone on my break from work. :-)

3. My cats. They are always loveable and cute and always can make me smile!

4. Being outdoors (when the weather isn't so HOT!) and enjoying nature by taking in a hike at the nature center or going to a bike trail.

5. Hanging out with my nieces! We still need to get together to play in the fountain at Jordan Valley! Always fun times!

2peas blog challenge

I was 11 when I went to Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. I don't remember the rides very well but the one ride that I remember was the ride inside Epcot ball. I remember that we were told that we were going to be going up 18 stories and thought that was cool and kinda scary at the same time!

Another ride I remember was on top of a building and it was airplanes. I don't think my parents liked that one to well. There was a button to control how high you could go and I guess my sister and I was keeping our airplane up kinda high! Which it was on top of a building to so we could see all of Disneyworld!

I remember that it did rain when we were at Epcot visiting the different countries and we ate meals at Germany, France and Japan. I will never forget the meal at Japan as we ordered yukatori (I probably spelled that wrong!) but we renamed it yuckatori! It wasn't a very good lunch.

I would really like to go back to Disneyworld someday as I am sure lots has changed since 1984!

I really enjoy this new video by Christina Aguilera!

Trouble with the lawn guy . . . . . .

Last night I woke up around 2100 with a phone call after sleeping all day. I decided after I got off the phone to look out in my backyard to see if my lawn service had mowed my yard and they didn't. I went to go get the mail and I had a bill attached to my mailbox from my lawn guy. At first I thought he was charging me for something he didn't do and then when I looked at the bill again a little later realized he had it dated for 6/27 - the last time he mowed my yard. I had mailed him a check and he has also cashed my check as I can see that it cleared my bank on 7/3. I even am able to with adobe reader see my check and see his signature!!!!! I can't believe it! He isn't keeping very good records of who pays him! I have written a letter to him stating the above and I am also said that I will no longer need his services as I am going to start mowing my yard myself so I don't have to worry about details like this in the future. It was nice having lawn service will it lasted!

A couple of tickers for fun!

WOW!!! School is going to be out soon! That means that I need to get BUSY!!!! I still have to type up a fine arts report and then do two concert reports. I also need to start my research paper! This class had went fast!

I can't wait till my vacation in August! I won't have to go to school or work! Just relax! I really hope that I can spend time with my nieces and we can run and play in the fountain at Jordan Valley Park and maybe they can even spend the night! That would be great!

Just wanted to add some tickers for a couple of events and actually need to go back to sleep as I work all night tonight! I also need to wake up and get my study guide done so if time allows at work tonight I can memorize all my terms!

Pet peeve - 2peas challenge

Okay, I couldn't think of a pet peeve earlier when I read the challenge for today but I have one now!!!!!

This happened while I was sitting in my allergy doctor's waiting room. There is this one particular lady that when she comes in she will sit in the waiting room and try to start conversations with anybody. She had a conversation with me one day and she was trying to have a conversation with me today but I was trying to study. I told her I hadn't started studying for my test tonight and I was crash studying for my test. I was hoping she would let me study but NO!!!! She would be quiet for a little bit but then "Let me ask you a question". Then she started telling me stories regarding her family!!!! I wanted to say "I am trying to study! Stressed out Student here!!!!" Then they called my name for my allergy shot and when I went and sat back down I started studying and then they called her name and she left. After she left I was able to get some studying done till I had to have my shots checked then I left to go to the Mudhouse to study.

I am still cramming for my test but feel like I have memorized enough. He is going to drop our lowest test score so this one might be it! I have 35 more minutes to study!

A normal day?

I accidently slept ALL day yesterday and had some things I wanted to accomplish yesterday. I thought since I slept all day that I would be able to sleep last night but I did! I fell asleep around 0230 and woke up around 0900 without my alarm! I had my alarm set for 1100 just in case I didn't wake up with my alarm. I feel somewhat normal today!

Today I have a test in my Intro. to Music class and I have done all of the study guide except the essay question. I need to get that done this morning and print out my study guide to start memorizing it! I plan to get my allergy shots today and then go to the Mudhouse and study! I hope that we don't have all 5 hours of class tonight but it depends how much material there is for next weeks test! Last week we got out at 1 1/2 hours early and I was so glad! I had only had one hour of sleep since getting off from work that morning and kept falling asleep! I went home and fell asleep without meaning to and woke up at 0400 with all the lights on, still in my clothes and I still had my contacts in! Ohhhhh, I was tired!

This morning I have enjoyed slowly doing what I want. I have been enjoying my favorite tunes from my Napster account. I need to get in the shower so I can get dressed and take care of my garden and flowers. Then find the answer to the essay question and then print out my study guide and spend the rest of the day reading it! I had better get busy!

Fun 4th of July!

I had a fun 4th of July with my sister and my nieces! We went to the "I Love America" fireworks show. I hope to someday be able to spend the day there and see the air show but since I worked the night before I had to get some sleep and was to tired to wake up early see the air show. We didn't arrive till 1945. We had planned on being there earlier but I slept through my alarm! I have some pics I need to upload from my digital camera still but I did upload some from my cell phone. I learned that my new phone has some awesome features! You are able to select different effects for you picture so my sister and I was curious what solarize would do. It is to much fun! I am going to add that picture here! I also took some videos from my phone of the fireworks show. I will have to play around and figure out if I can upload those here or not.

When the show is over, there is always over half the town wanting to leave to. When we parked I had everyone look at our surroundings so we could find my car later. I thought we did a good job on looking at our surroundings. We got lost trying to find my car! There were other people lost to so I didn't fell as bad . . . . I just remembered we parked near a tree with the RV's behind it. I didn't realize how many other trees there was till we were walking back! I have decided I should never go walking in the woods as I would for sure get lost and then I could film the next Blair witch project!!! :-) It normally takes about 2 hours to get out of that huge field with everyone leaving at the same time BUT while we were waiting and my nieces getting anxious cause we weren't moving, we noticed all these other cars behind us moving so we decided it would be a good thing to check out. Good thing we did! We got out of there in about 20 minutes instead of 2 hours! Yeah!!!

I need to get to bed as I have to much to do today. Hopefully I can get a few hours and stay up all day! That would be nice for a change!

Tour De France!!!!!

I forgot all about this! I am sitting at my kitchen table reading the morning paper and got to the sports section that I never read but decided to look through it today and saw the stats for the Tour De France! I can't believe I forgot all about this! I am curious who is going to win this year since Lance Armstrong has retired. It looks like the overall standings after stage one is George Hincapie of the United States! Maybe one of Lance's old team mates will win! I will have to start watching OLN to get the updates of what is going on! I am just glad that my memory was jogged before it was over! I guess I will be reading the sports section this month. I have stayed up all night and need to get some sleep as I work tonight!

I woke up around 4am and was planning to go back to bed after I turned all the lights out. I didn't get myself back to bed till about 10am and forget to reset my alarm so I didn't wake up till a little after 4pm!!!!! I was so tired I didn't get up and finally got up about 7pm! I have basically slept my day away . . . . . I was going to go to the mall to find me a new faceplate for my phone. I can still make it to the Mudhouse as they don't close till 11pm! Maybe I can stay up a little later tonight and get my house a little organized and go to bed about 3am and get up at 3pm and get ready for work. Ohhhhh . . . . I need to figure out everyone's total for the Mary Kay orders! Yikes! I have slept all weekend and not gotten anything done! I had better finish getting ready and hope that I am productive tonight! :-)

New Phone!!!!

After I got off from work on Thursday morning, I had a few errands to run. I happened to drive by the main Cingular store about the time they were opening so I decided to try in the store again to plead my case. I pleaded my case to yet another person. It was a shorter version as I was getting tired of telling my story! But he asked to see my phone and went and took it somewhere. He came back and told me that they would trade it out as a 30 day return! Yeah! I didn't even have to argue about anything - it was too easy! He said that I would have to bring the box and what came with the phone and they would credit what I paid on that phone towards the new phone. I went home and got everything and went back and got my new Sony Ericvsson W600i Walkman phone! It also is an organizer which I really like. I have uploaded "The Very Best of Macy Gray" on my phone! I am happy with my trade and this will keep me busy till I can upgrade in 2008! :-) My next thing to do is to find a pink faceplate for this phone!

I was really hoping to go see a movie last night When I woke up I felt like going back to bed! I didn't think sitting through a movie was going to be a good thing since I was wanting to sleep! I went out for ice cream and came back home and ended up falling asleep till about 0400 this morning. I meant to go back to bed but it hasn't happened.

Sunday is "Pancake day" and "Mudhouse day"!!! I consider Sunday pancake day because when I was growing up my dad would always cook pancakes on Sunday. I don't make pancakes every Sunday but I do alot of them! Saturday was egg day which I hated and still am not very fond of eggs. I will dabble in egg beaters as they are healthier! I like going to the Mudhouse on Sundays as they give double punches on your drink card! Two fun events for a fun and lazy day!

I need to work on my study guide for my Intro to music class. I also should start deciding what I am going to write my paper on and finish up my concert and fine arts reports! I only have about 4 weeks till all this is due! This class is going fast!

Technical difficulties

Oh my! I have no idea what happened to my blog but I had to add a new template and I lost all my codes from the stuff I added!!!!!!! I had actually printed my HTML section of my blog a few months ago so I hope that I can get my codes from there!!!! I have been wanting to change my template but didn't want to because of losing my codes. I am still unsure what happened to cause this in the first place.

I have been trying to get a new cell phone from Cingular. I am upset with them currently. I went to there main store and told them my story and the guy wouldn't listen to me anymore just told me to call the 800 number. I tried to talk to him again and "You need to call the 800 #". So when I get home I call the 800 number and ended spending 1 hour and 10 minutes pleading my case (which I was on hold for at least 20 of those minutes). I had to replace my phone in April as I couldn't hear anybody unless I had the phone on speaker. They give me the same phone but a newer version. It is still happening - not as bad as my other phone had gotten but it was how it started. I don't want another motorola phone for that reason. I found out that since I did an exceptional upgrade that my first phone doesn't count and that I need to have another phone do the same thing then I can get another phone. This is bananas!!!!!! He suggested that I talk to customor service and they might be able to make an exception but when he transfered me to them they told me I needed to talk to the warranty people. ARGH!!!!! I have talked to 3 other people that have had this phone with the same problem but they tell me that they haven't had these phone come back for that so I am guessing they aren't keeping very good records! I have a feeling I am stuck with this phone. It really frustrates me that I was eligible for a *real* upgrade in November of 2006 and now I can't upgrade till Jan. 2008!!! I am going to keep at them as this is crazy. I should be able to have there service with a working phone. I am afraid to tell them I will cancel and go to another company as I am in a contract but then also I did that to Alltel and they didn't try to keep me! I wasn't in a contract with Alltel so it wasn't that big of a deal that they wouldn't give me what I wanted. They said if I was able to hold out for another year (or should I say if the phone will hold out for another year!) I could do an exceptional upgrade again. That was a little pricey I thought. I added my current phone - the blue/black flip phone and the phone I want - the orange phone.

Anyway, I am going to go do a little relaxing and maybe get my recycling ready for loading!

Just relaxin'

I have been a little quiet lately and I think it is mainly because of my night shift ways and being so tired all the time!!!!! Work has kept me a little busy and school has a little. This is the one week out of my summer class that I don't have a test. I am currently at the Mudhouse and went through my notes so I when I have class this week and get my study guide it won't take me as long to get things put together for my test next week.

I have been watering my garden trying to make it grow and this week I have big blooms on my cucumber plant!!!!! I am so excited about this!!!! I even have some that I never did plant and still in the small container with blooms! I think I need to transfer that one to a planter and see what happens. I have a rather small garden but it is enough for me to take care of. I have 2 tomato plants, a hot pepper and a green pepper plant, about 4 or 5 okra plants and then my cucumber plant which is getting kinda big for my little garden! I need to get a cage for it.

Last night I went to my LSS to a 4th of July paint can class. One of my scrapjammie friends that lives in my area told me about it so I signed up. It was fun getting to see her again! I am a little slow at these classes and I still need to finish mine! I was very close to being done but everyone else was done and shopping and here I was still working on mine. I am not sure how everyone works so fast! I think I try to make things to perfect sometimes and that slows me down. I can't help that!

I have a few things I would like to get done today. One of them is get the recycling loaded in my car. I currently have a bunch of recycling in the middle of my living room floor ready for me to tape up. Felix is loving the fact that I have extra "hiding" stops for him! He has enjoyed this as he darts from paper sack to paper sack pouncing on his other kitty friends! He cracks me up!

I hope to get my CJ that I have done. I have been having problems trying to get the journaling done. This particular CJ is called "desparate housewives" which is a fun book but for a single girl that has never been married is a little difficult to me. I have never watched the show expect for once and not sure who is who and what goes on in the show. Last night I was talking about this journal and I think I am going to write about trying to find a decent man! I hope to get this done today and get this sent on and then I need to figure out what others I need to get done for the CJ.

I better get busy so I can accomplish all that I want to today!

Just scrappin'

I stayed up last night to get this CJ done and I hope to get the other one done tonight and get them sent off to the next person! This particular layout is for the CJ "Dreams". I think if you click on the picture you can see it bigger. I used my scanner and stitched them and the colors are true to the actual page. I *think* that I might have one more layout to do for someone. I am not 100% sure on that though. I also need to send notices to people included in this CJ to ask if they would please make a two page layout and send to me since my journal is missing in action. That makes me sad as this is my first CJ and that my journal is not circulating. I hope to someday be able to participate in another and my journal actually make it around and back to me. I plan to wait till I am done with school before participating in another as school, working nights are keeping my schedule full. I have had these way to long but I had to put school first.

I am chilling at the Mudhouse and it is rather slow in here today. I have been working on getting my notes together to start studying for my test this week and then I have also been trying to figure out Photoshop elements. I have a classroom in a book but it starts out with basic stuff but haven't had time to get through it all and figure out how to do the cool stuff. It took me forever last night trying to figure out how to get rid of a date on the photo I included in my layout. I finally went back to my Microsoft digital image pro and did it in a matter of seconds there. I still haven't figured out how to do that in Photoshop but I am sure I will learn in time. I am not going to give up! I am glad I still have my other program that I understand so I can still alter photos till I can figure this out.

I have to say that my house has taken a downfall since I went back to school! I wish I had more time to keep up with things. I keep wanting to make me a plan on daily chores, weekly chores, etc. so I am not doing everything at once. That has been on my to-do list for quite some time. I also need a storage shed to store stuff. I have a one car garage that I park my car in plus all my outdoor, garden equipment. I need a tall ladder so I can clean my gutters out but then I have no where to store it if I did get me one. I had an older guy come by my house wanting to clean my gutters which I told him no but thanks for asking. But then he was on his bicycle!!!! How was he going to clean my gutters? Hmmm . . . . . I do have someone doing my yard every week but I am wondering if I should go to every two weeks. I have a hard time doing yard work because of my allergies and happy to have someone else doing my yard. Just random thoughts about my house . . . . . . . . can't wait till I can get back on track!

Saturday Blogger - 2peas challenge

Challenge:
here's a fun one..
Imagine yourself as a vegetarian.
What would be your most fave foods?????

It is easy to imagine myself as a vegetarian as I love eating that way! I haven't ate red meat in 12 years which started as a new years
resolution. I started one year with only eating red meat when I would go eat out and then the next year I stopped doing that and I have stuck with it! We have a vegetarian cafe here that I used to go to all the time but they have changed there hours and I can never seem to find them open. I eat veggie burgers, vegeterian sausage. At work they have veggie burgers in the cafe but they seldom have them on the night shift so I get left out. I get told that me and maybe 2 other people on the night shift will eat them. I love veggie sandwiches - esp. at Subway! Yum!!!! I enjoy most veggies and prefer them to be raw then cooked. I enjoy making vegetarian dishes every so often.

Things that I miss . . . . .

As I was getting ready to sit down and do a little bit of studying this morning I was thinking of things that I wish I had more time to do. This was all prompted when I went to sharpen a pencil which the pencil sharpner was sitting on a few books I would like to read but don't have time to do. I was really wishing that I could have the summer off from school so I can enjoy it more. I have to many prereq. to go and one was actually being offered once a week. I jumped on the oppurtunity to help get these done.

Here is a list of some of the things that I don't have as much time to do.
  • Reading books I want to read
  • Scrapbooking
  • Reading the magazines that I subscribe to plus the occasional magazine that I buy.
  • Having extra time to learn Photoshop and my pen tablet.
  • Spending time with my nieces. They are in summer school too and doesn't help this out either. No spending the night . . . . . . .
  • Just relaxing in the backyard
These are just a few things that I miss the most. All this is coming to mind as I am on vacation from work this week and I have this class hanging over me. I would have done some scrapbooking tonight if I didn't have to study. Having a test almost every week doesn't help. All of our assignments are due on the last day of class so I am trying to spread them out over the course of the 8 weeks and got one assignment done this week. I need to check out some concert stuff at the library. I wonder if they have that at the public library . . . . . I will have to check this out! I also have a research paper to write that I need to start the research and then I can start writing it. I suck at writing papers so I hope he grades easy on them! :-) Just felt the need to write this stuff down . . . . . . . .

Fun mail day!!!

I was quite excited when I got my mail today! I got all kinds of *good* mail! I got my Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks and Shape magazines today. I also got a nice sized rebate back from Cingular! :-) Tomorrow is my birthday and I am going to have to take my birthday money and my rebate and go shopping!!!!! Unsure exactly what I want to shop for so I need to give that some thought. This is the best mail day I have had in a long time! :-)

CHALLENGE:
What makes summer special to you?

Since my nieces have gotten older, I have enjoyed summer so we can spend more time together! They are in summer school and so am I so we have to be creative in the time we do get to spend together! I love taken them to the fountain at Jordan Valley Park and we can run through the fountain! This Wednesday I mentioned that I was going to go to the art museum to work on some homework I had to do for class and they got all excited and wanted to go. So, after they get done with there swim lessons we are going to have some fun time together! They have been wanting to try out a ice cream parlor that is downtown so if we have time we will have to try it out! I also love summer because it is warm and you can be outside. Having BBQ's and hanging out by the pool (if we can find one!). In the evening, riding my bike and just being outside. I just wish I didn't have to work or go to school in the summer! It is putting a damper on my fun summer time I enjoy!

One of my cats, Chloe, has been sneezing a lot lately. Today I picked her up and she meowed at me and it wasn't her normal meow. It has me concerned that she might be getting a cold so I called the vets office and by my description they seem to think it is allergies but they would see her if I wanted. I decided to see how she does before taking her in. Her eyes aren't draining or she doesn't seem congested - except for the funny sounding meow. I have had her for 2 1/2 years and she has never had allergies or sneezing like this. I am just a concerned mother.

I am actually at the Mudhouse to study for my "Intro. to Music" test I have this week. I was really disappointed that we were having a test this week as I am off from work all week and my birthday is tomorrow and I don't want to study! I just want to relax and have some fun! :-)

Where have I been?

I don't know why I haven't been blogging that much lately. I have been out of school for the last 3 weeks and have hardely blogged. I did start my summer class last night so now that I am supposed to be doing other things I am blogging. I find my scrapbooking got back in full force after I decided to go back to school so why is it that when I have free time I can't seem to do the fun things I want and when I don't have the time and should be doing something else that is when I do the fun stuff? Hmmmm, things to ponder.

Well in my last post I had started planted some grass seed in my yard and I am excited to say that I have grass growing in the bald spots in my yard!!!! I just hope that it keeps growing!!!! The grass seed I spread around the rest of the yard isn't doing as well but I decided I will be happy with what I am getting and wait till September to try to fill in the rest. I was told that I am doing this to late in the year with the temps. being in the 90's but it was when I had time!

My summer class that I am taking is "Introduction to Music" and my teacher seems like a nice guy and has a good sense of humor. That made the 5 hours go much better! We are having a test every week except for one!!!! I need to be getting my study guide ready for my test next week. I also have concert reports (classical music only though), fine arts report and a research paper to do in this class. I don't think this class is going to be as bad as I thought. He gave us a study guide for our test and I need to get that filled out. It is mainly terms that he wants us to know and understand for the rest of the class. I hope while I am working this weekend I can put my study guide on my clipboard and take a peak at it when I can! I also need to be listening to the CD's that came with the book and I have to be able to identify what style the song is. We get extra credit for knowing the title and composer! I need to get memorizing all this stuff! I do believe this semester is going to be much better than last semester! :-)

CHALLENGE: Have you ever met any one famous? If not, who would you LOVE to meet?

I have to think about this a bit. I have gotten to meet Elsie Flannigan as she lives in my home town. :-) I have gotten to meet on of the bachelors - Aaron Bergee (not sure if I spelled that right!) I have even been in his loft here in my hometown. The day I got to meet him was in his bar/resturant when I was participating in hurry dating. I did also get to see Macy Gray in a free concert and I was very near the front row. She threw bottled water at the audience and I caught the first one!!!!!! I still have that bottle!!!! As soon as the show was over she left . . . . .

Lazy and productive in the same day!

I am up trying to think of layouts for my circle journals that I have! I have been looking for quotes on the internet about dating, life, love, etc. for the circle journal "Desperate Housewives". I had to put a few of the quotes here!

There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music & cats -- Albert Schweitzer

I love my past. I love my present. I'm not ashamed of what I've had and I'm not sad because I have it no longer -- Colette

A woman of 35 thinks of having children. A man of 35 thinks of dating children. -- Murphy's Law of Sex

Anyway, I hope I get these CJ's figured out! I am at a lose of what to do for my layout's. I have some ideas in my head but nothing set in stone yet. I guess I will keep thinking of it and hopefully when I am off from work this weekend I can put them to paper! :-)

Onto my lazy and productive day! I woke up this morning to my cell phone ringing at 0830 and it was the lawn service I had called last week to give me an estimate on mowing my lawn. He told me he would be there mid-morning so that seemed early to me but he gave me a quote and I had him to go ahead and mow my lawn. I know have lawn service! I am excited about that as I have a hard time mowing with my allergies and my schedule. I hope that this doesn't get to expensive and I can afford it all summer.

The lazy part of my day was that I decided to take a nap at 10 am. It was only supposed to be for one hour and it turned into 4 hours!!! I woke up at 2 pm and took a shower. I ended up at the Mudhouse to sit in peace with a drink and learn photoshop elements. I also got to have a new drink that they have - a frozen mint chocolate chip latte and I am in love! It tasted just like a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream! YUM!!!!!! Then I went to get my allergy shots and then decided to go to Lowe's.

Here is the productive part of the day. I bought me more plants for my garden. I got me okra and cucumber plants. I had to call my dad to consult on if cucumber would work in my garden. He told me I would need another cage like my tomatoes have and I could only plant one as it gets big. I also bought me some impatients for my planter in the front yard. I got light pink and hot pink impatients and then mixed them up to have a variance of color. I also got grass seed and filler grass seed for my front yard. I have been wanting to do this for over a year and finally getting to it! I spent my evening getting all this planted and spreading grass seed. I just hope that my grass seed grows!! I need to make sure to water it at least twice a day and hope I don't slack on this!

My next project is to get my new flower bed in my backyard together. It has loose brick that I want to take out and put down some decortive type rock. I want to plant hollyhocks there. My dad told me that I might not get enough sun in that spot but I could try it to see if they would grow. Lowe's didn't have any hollyhocks so I think I need to do an online search to find them.

The rest of the evening I have been doing laundry and trying to figure out what to do for my CJ's that I have! I have also been working on some cleaning. I have a bad habit of reading the newspaper and various magazines in bed at night and then laying them on the floor when I am done and not picking it up. I have been working on recycling the newspapers tonight! It is funny to see the date on them to see how long it has been there.

I realized today that I only have about one week left till school starts back up. I am only taking one class and it is Introduction to Music so I hope it isn't to hard and that I can have time to do fun summer things!

Jammie Crop pics!

I really enjoyed my weekend at Jammie crop! I really hope to do it again next year! I made a slide show of some pictures that I took. Most of these pictures are of the PJ fashion party that we had. It was a blast! The house was beautiful that we stayed in. The rooms are dorm-like style. I didn't get as much scrapping done as I had hoped but I did make new friends and I am thankful for that. I need to work on uploading the make-n-takes that we did and one two page LO that I did finish that was a make-n-take which I included pictures of my cats. :-) When we arrived, we had gifts at our bed and one gift that I am totally excited about is a croppin' tote on wheels! They had it full of goodies! I didn't have one and have been wanting one! All the goodies with idea books and paper, organizers was inside! WOW!!!! Then we got other little surprises during the time we were there. I have a jammie crop layout to put together that will be perfect for the PJ party pics! I am ready to do this again!

The weather here has started to get muggy and I might be turning on the air conditioner soon. I enjoy the low bills for a couple of months and hate to let that go! I am glad that the weather is getting warmer as it is the most favorite time of year!

While I was in Illinois, my parents was watching my house and taking care of my cats. My dad also took time to plant tomatoes and green and hot peppers in my garden! He also got rid of these bushes that I have disliked growing next to my house! I am going to make it into a pretty flower garden and I would like to have hollyhocks. Those bushes were growing so big that the brick was broken from the roots of these bushes. I am hoping to get some decorative rock to make it beautiful!

I got me a book for PSE 3.0 - classroom in a book and was hoping to go through some of it tonight. I have spent to much time loading pics and make the slide show! I do believe I am going to work on cleaning my house and then work on learning how to edit photos. I have already figured out how to repair red eye and I have to say it was soo much easier and looks better with PSE 3.o then my other program I have been using. I do believe I am going to enjoy it! Then I will figure out how to use the pen tablet to edit photos once I get the hang of PSE 3.o! Yeah! I am enjoying my time off from school!

In Elburn, Illinois!!!

I left Thursday morning at 0915 and arrived to my destination at 1830! I wasn't a bad drive at all and went faster than I thought it would! I made my first stop in St. Louis to have some lunch and refilled my gas tank so I didn't have to make any stops once I got started again. Which was a good ting as there wasn't any gas stations for quite some time after I got into Illinois! For some reason I woke up with my allergies bothering me and I was sneezing most of the way for the first 3 hours and it finally calmed down by the time I made it to my destination. When I had to change highways as my yahoo map told me to do, I was a little confused and thought I was going to Memphis, Tennesee!! I stopped to make sure as I didn't want to end up in the wrong state and be late for my Jammie Crop!! I was going in the right direction and the rest of the directions was okay. I did make a stop in Pieora, IL as I had to get out of the car! My back was bothering me from driving that long. My iriver pooped out when I had an hour still to go so I had to resort to CD's. I accidently got in the wrong lane for the toll!!! I thought I was doing good and when I looked up I was in the toll saver lane!!! I am sure they have my picture now and the feds are going to be after me! I know now to got to the right and not the left!

I have been having a blast so far at the Jammie Crop!!! We have been doing all kinds of fun make-n-takes! I got to go to the Scrapjammie headquarters to see where the magic happens! I even got to meet fatboy!!! (see posted pic!!!) He is such a loverboy! His name is really Mozart but has the nickname of fatboy. So adorable! We had an AWESOME jammie fashion show! I will have to post more pics later of that! I have been able to get a 6x6 hip chick album done but no pictures in it yet. I brought all my 4x6 pics but like to use various sizes in my pics. I didn't have much time to plan and print pictures for certain layouts/albums before I left like I had hoped but I am still accomplishing things!!! I did a fun layout that I included pictures of my cats. I will have to post that later as I don't have pics of it yet. I need to remember to takes pics tomorrow of the victorian house we are staying in. It is beautiful here!

I had better get some sleep so I can spend another full day of scrapping! YEAH!!!!

I passed Pathophysiology!!!!!!

The final grades are finally in and I passed the final!!!!!!! I have ended up with a C in the class and I am excited! These hard science classes are hard for me and I feel like I worked my butt off for that C! WOOHOO!!!!

I actually have lots to do today as I leave for Chicago tomorrow for the Jammie Crop! :-) I am sitting in the Mudhouse just enjoying myself. I am going to make a list of things I need to do and then implement the plan! I ended up sleeping through my alarm this morning and didn't get my house in order like I had planned before my parents came over. I hope to get all this stuff done and then play with my pen tablet and figure out these programs that came with it. I am excited to finally have photoshop elements 3.0 and have been trying to find a book that will help me with the features. I also have corel painter essentials and it seems like an awesome program! I am going to have to do the tutorial on it to figure it out.

I am planning to bring my computer with me but unsure if they have wireless internet where I am going to be. I really hope they do but I am sure I will be busy with my new friends that checking my email won't matter. I had better get started on the list! Exciting week for me!

The semester is finally over!!

I am excited to say that school is over for the semester!!!! I finished my pathophysiology final today and will find out how I did at 2pm today! Only 13 more hours!!! I got my case study back today and I got 100%!!!!! I couldn't believe it! My instructor liked the article that I choose that she kept it for her reference! Yeah! I was excited!!! I will feel better after I see the final grade though. I am still waiting for things to be graded in my Health Assessment class which she said she will have it done by Wednesday or Thursday. I have an A in that class and will have to see if I get to keep it or not! I really hope I do! I have to say that the last week of school was busy! I didn't even have time to update my blog . . .

After class today I was lazy. I went to the Mudhouse just to relax and surfed the interent for fun for a change! I might have to do that again tomorrow. I have lots to do tomorrow so it depends on how much I can get done. I leave for Chicago on Thursday for the Jammie Crop! I can't wait! I need to go shopping for PJ's! I don't have any decent ones that I would wear. I also need to get the oil changed in my car for the trip. I want to get my house clean also.

Tonight I went and got me a Wacom pen tablet! I am having problems installing Corel Painters Essentials 2 as I keep getting an error code and then it uninstalls it from my computer. I have emailed there tech support so I hope they can help me!!! I want to play with my pen tablet! I have been using the mouse tonight and it works good. Just can't wait till I can experiement with it. I am excited that I finally have Photoshop elements 3.o! I have stuff to keep me busy till I return to school in 3 weeks!

I am quite tired as I feel asleep with my pathophysiology notes last night and didnt' sleep good. I think I am going to go to bed! :-)

Favorite color

Decided to take a little break from studying and see what the 2peas challenge was for the day! So here it is:

Talk about your fave color.
Why is it your fave color? What do you like about it?

I have been fond of the color pink ever since I was a little girl. I still enjoy the color pink but I don't have to have everything pink now! I begged to have my room painted pink when I was younger and it was such a faint pink I wasn't satisfied. I finally got me an all pink room but then one day my parents decided to redo my room and left the bottom half pink and the top part of the wall was white with a border with pink flowers. It was okay . . . . . I am not into painting things pink now! I do have a pink planner trimmed in brown and I do have a pink cell phone cover. I am not sure why I choose pink as my favorite color but is has stuck with me since the day I picked it. I do find it to be a soothing color kinda like sorbet.

1 more week left of school!

I am excited about school being over in one week! I have 2 papers and a presentation due on Wednesday. I have started on my physcial assessment paper and I hope to start on my fall risk assessment paper before going to bed tonight. I have class during the day and then will need to stay up most of the night to get this done if I don't get it started! I did get my case study figured out tonight and found an article regarding the diagnosis of my patient in my case study. I just need to get some of my medical books out and finish it up! I don't think it will take me long to do that and it isn't due till Friday.

Also next week I get to leave for Chicago to go to a crop with my scrapjammie friends! I can't wait! I just hope that I can handle the 8 hour drive! :-) I am going to go slower coming back home and spend the night in St. Louis. I get done with school on Tuesday and I will have the rest of that day and Wednesday to get ready for my crop! I was going to meet up with the girls early but then decided I was going to have to rush if I did and I want to be able to relax after school is out so I opted not to leave earlier. I will be working on getting layouts together and then finishing up my layout about me to trade with everybody!! Chicago here I come!!! :-)

2peas challenge:

If you had to join a witness protection program with your family, where would you wanna live??? Anywhere in the world? Where would you choose, if you could???

I would want to be somewhere warm and near the ocean!! That might be the first place anyone would look for me though! Hawaii, California, Florida would be nice. I would like it if I didn't have to worry about hurricanes! I am not sure I would want to live in another country. I do enjoy learning about different cultures and would love to visit different countries but not sure if I would like living in another country. Maybe they have a traveling witness protection program - if you are always on the move then you would be harder to find! :-)

I had better get started on that paper so I can get some sleep so I don't fall asleep in class! :-)

EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!!

I got my Pathophysiology test results today and I got a "B"!!!!!!! This is the best test yet!!!! I couldn't believe it! FINALLY all this studying has paid off! All I have left is my case study and then my final which is open book and open note! We do have a two hour time limit but I plan to read through all my notes and get them organized. Our teacher told us she is going to make the test in chronological order so it would be easier to look things up! I am optimistic that I am going to pass this class and but it behind me!!! YEAH!!!! I am going to treat myself to the Wacom pen tablet when I get the official word that I have passed this class! I deserve it!

Tonight my sister and I went to the artwalk and it was quite busy downtown as it was Cinco de Mayo. It has been quite rainy here lately and it was a little cool outside but not that bad. It did start to sprinkle a little but never did really rain to were you didn't want to walk around. This weekend is the artfest and we are hoping to go to that but rain is in the forecast so we are going to have to play it by ear on which day to go!!! I am going to have a fun weekend!

I had better get to bed if I plan to do anything tomorrow! :-)
